I plan on building one of these as a 510, but have some questions. Rather than the 2xcr2 batteries- stacked @ 7.4v, could I use a single 18500 3.7v w/1600mAh at the secrifice of higher voltage for the benefit of longer charge hold time? One of the reviews of this battery at Madvapes says this will fit perfect into a 3AAA flaslight. I don't want to have to carry batteries with me all day lol. I have CE2 XL 510 cartos on the way and was told they are 2.4-2.7ohm resistance. This should produce more vapor, but at the expense of battery life from what I understand. Yes? Is this advisable? BTW I also plan on making the $3 tank mod to mate with this, so I'll have a day-long vape apparatus. So far, I have the flashlight and switch. Will be ordering other parts tomorrow. I want this done asap, as my egoT tastes like pewp. It's all I've got tho. =(

    Advance thanks for your input!

I'm building one right now with the same type of flashlight, and I wanted to do it as 510. The problem with 510 is the connectors stick almost a half an inch inside the case, which eats up all the space for a switch. I finally decided to use the much shorter 901/808d connector, which leaves enough room for a decent switch (using an 18500 batt), and using an adapter for 510. I like to use a variety of cartos and attys anyway (510 attys and cartos, 901 attys, 801 attys, 808 cartos, etc.), so this is a reasonable solution for me.

The other solution I was considering, was to offset the atty and put the switch next to it, pointing off the top, like the MadVapes Roughstack. You could definitely use a 510 connector in that configuration, but that switch placement seems awkward to me. I like side buttons.

And, yeah, the 18500 batt is the right length for the case, but it's narrower than the AAA holder that comes in it. It's not too bad floating, but I think I'll add a tube of craft foam or something to make sure the batt stays centered.
