Extract 801 atomizer without destruction?

Does anybody know how to extract a 801 atomizer without destroying it?

Most of the threads I've read on this suggest (strongly) using a dead 801 batt so that you can leverage the threads.

Screw it onto the atty and then try firmly pulling while gently heating the outside of the atty just above the connector - as there is glue in there on top of the press fit base.

Just use a dremel and be very careful, take a pair of vicegrips and clamp on the hollow end where you insert your cart so you compress it ever so slightly. Take several shallow passes with your cutoff wheel and the shell will spring open on the connector side, leaving your atomizer and connector completely intact. Just push them out gently with a Q-tip or something.
