Not sure how to find this out; I'm only an amateur electrician, so I thought I'd throw this to the group . . .

I'm planning to build a Nicostick-type mod. I've got a dead 901 battery that I'm using for parts. I wanted to incorporate the LED from the battery into the build, as it still works even though the switch is dead.

My question is about the resistor. Is it built into the LED wafer? If not, is it part of the microchip near the switch? And if that's the case, what's the resistor size, and also what's the size of the capacitor used to cause the LED to fade?
