If you haven't tried the 18650 yet, you may be surprised by it's performance. It actually runs 4.2V when charged, and because of the high capacity (up to 3000mAh) it doesn't drop as much under load as the little batts. 'Last all day' is an understatement. In my Chuck, the 18650 can vape 3-4 days between charges.

Just a thought, what happens if you blow a little (very little) instead of sucking? That should pressurize the bottle and cause it to push the juice up on its own. I'm just thinking back to when I was a kid and drinking (real) juiceboxes. I would always blow into the straw to pressurize the box and then let the juice feed back out.

Never thought of the blow method to pressurize the juice bottle, I will have to run some tests.
    As for the 4 x AAA's.
Rechargeable AAA's are 1.2 not 1.5v but you are nearly right they do charge to about 5.2v not 4.8v
I have just agreed to make a box mod version for an ECF member. I will use the 18650.
Please remember I'm trying to make an e-pipe. So the smallest, easily obtainable, high capacity batteries I can find is the way I want to go.

In that case, you might want to look at the 18350. It's a little powerhouse. 18mm diameter, 35mm long, 1200mAh, 3.7V (4.2charged)

I agree, a single 18650 is plenty of voltage all day long for me.

I tried the blowing method on one of my tubes that feeds through the cart and it works but is very imprecise. Much more difficult to gauge how much liquid flows, flooded attys galore.

Which is why I created a very precise feeder tube which I'm not done with yet.

    Thanks
The 18350 sounds like just what I'm looking for.
Will have to find a UK supplier. Ebay Hong Kong only.

You have to watch because the orange ones are unprotected. Blue ones are protected.
The only place I have seen that has the protected ones is MadVapes LLC

    Hey! I asked first
I wonder what he's going to call his mod? I'd say the 'brit box' but he probably won't go for it....

Isn't the project box kind of the same size as a pack of stink sticks? How bout the squeeze pack? Vape Box? Fag Pack? Dear Lord, I hope he doesn't call it a Peter Box!

I couldn't find any 18350 at dealextreme (not even the orange, unprotected). Their search function is kinda lame though, so I might just be missing them on the huge battery page.

As one of the "Juice box Fan boys" I must say that this design looks very promising. Anything going in the auto-feed, auto-drip direction is going to make it big in this industry. People are lazy, and the ease of use, worry-free PVs are going to take the e-cig world by storm and make all the different-sized metal battery holders obsolete.

I can see how some like the idea of easily-obtainable, mass-produced atomizers being utilized in these types of devices as that's all they know. However, the "next step" in ease of use and worry-free PV use will be when the Chinese step up their game or America starts mass-producing a higher-quality, replaceable atomizer.
