Exclamation Precision juice injection drop by drop

I would really like to see a new category in the mods strictly devoted to juice injection since that is the direction so many of us are going. But...

My opinion on injection of juice is the biggest problem is flooding. While we can get the juice from point A to B even the best ones built so far can and will flood due to a lack of control over the fluid.

So for weeks I was obsessed with solving this and I knew I wanted to figure out how I could feed exactly 2-3 drops per injection. My solution was to build a screw syringe. Google screw syringe and you will see what one is.

I attached a nylon screw with a thumbwheel head to a syringe and it performs. Turn the wheel and a precise amount feeds into the cartridge.

I don't like the length needed for this particular mod but they can be made shorter.

When I have a good idea I like to hold onto it until it is perfected but this particular one is really good and others could add to it.

I also went back for the past couple weeks to squeeze bottle designs due to length constrictions for a reasonably sized PV and have an almost complete juice pipe about as long as a Chuck but bigger around.

So tell me your precision juicer ideas or add to mine.

Yes in fact I live in Clovis NM have some family in Ruidoso and travel to Las Cruces all the time. I have also hiked up in Cloudcroft which is just a very beautiful place. Nice to know I am not the only one from NM around here.

I Agree (juice injection) as another category is a great idea.

After checking out screw syringes, a few ideas came to mind.
If a Y tube were fitted. One would feed to the atty and one to a valve.
The valve would stop the flow of liquid. But if the attys tube were blocked and the
screw syringe were reversed, it would suck any attached liquid through the valve
    and refill the syringe.

If the thumb screw also had a ratchet type sound, a number of clicks could
refer to a number drops, depending on viscosity of liquid (PG or VG).

Ratcheting is not a bad idea. My prototype puts out 3 drops per half turn so I know how much to turn it. It doesn't change it is mechanically accurate each time because of the syringe. That is as near as I have gotten to perfect juice feed.

I'm glad you chimed in because anyone who is successfully injecting juice in a sinle unit like you are really the ones I watch and want to collaborate with. There are exceptions like ScottBee who make injecting from a separate bottle really damn interesting though.

    Thanks

Thanks for the vote of confidence

I have trying to workout a way of shortening the syringes' length and still do the same job while holding a good amount of liquid.
    Have you had any thoughts.
