I know what you mean. Every time I see an new mod that uses just carts, I do tend to get bored very quickly.
Unless it has a new switch or some other new design feature.
Where o where is HP? I hope he's working furiously to continue the history of shock & awe! It'd be a bummer if he was just at a job or off napping somewhere!
LOL
We must never allow HP to nap!
He must mod 24/7, without food or sleep, maybe just a beer or two. to keep him going.

It would be selfish of him to NOT mod 24/7!!! Hell, maybe he should hire a couple people to bring him food and drink so that life support doesn't take away from mod time!

Agreed.
Oh well back to topic.
(Waiting for epoxy putty to harden is like watching paint dry)
I'm using milliput (grey green) and I have noticed it does not stick very well.
If I mould a piece into a mod box it may detach after curing.
As it did with me, so I just stuck it on with liquid epoxy, job done.
Any thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit
I did sand the inside of the mod box!

I've used Loctite Epoxy Putty and it has a 5 minute set time. I used it to fill in the screw holes that my box came with and let it sit 30 minutes, sanded and painted it! Worked great. Last night I made by battery risers (since I'm mounting the regulator UNDER the batteries I had to raise them a little), let set and painted. If I get motivated tonight I'll get them glued into the box (then all that will be left is fabrication of my spring catch & slide switch). So at this rate I'll have it done by summer!
Seriously though, epoxy putty setup time varies by type. If you're is a long work-time type you could switch to something quicker. I find 5 minutes a good work time for most stuff as the quicker 3 minute stuff doesn't allow much shaping time once it's mixed. Longer time just means more waiting before sanding/drilling/painting.

Nice mod. I still need to employ your brass tube idea. Maybe next mod.

I go to work for a few days and look what i missed !
I really really am loving the looks of this latest inspiration. Love the brass, it gives it a classy look.
And...i love the 18650 battery...yay...my favorite battery.. ( i know, that's wierd but i prefer my vapes with the 18650 over the 14500 anytime)
Fantastic work, Peter !
Edit to add : I have gray , pink & maroon 18650 batteries from UltraFire that are protected. I havent seen any green ones. You might want to check on those at batteryjuction.com to see if those are the protected ones.

Ok..posting again..( sorry for double post)
Wanted to compliment you again. I'm simply amazed by all the amazing idea's you & highping & Mrpuff have. I'm totally in awe of you. I only wish i had half the handy abilities you all have.
Peter..if you ever have a problem ordering anything from the states...let me know, and i can order it and ship it right out to you. It's no problem, I send things regularly to my friend's mum in London. Just wanted to throw that in there, in case i can be of any assistance.
Keep up the fantastic work...I love following these threads.
