    Default M401 modification

I finally broke down and decided "I can't wait for my M401 batteries to die, I have to mod an atomizer NOW!!"

This is another direct connection. No batteries to sacrifice yet.
Atomizer hard-wired and epoxyed into a 4AAA battery holder, w/ on/off slide power switch.
A jumper cable in place of one of the batteries.
A more heavy-duty push switch, instead of the little tactile switches I've been using. A couple of those have died on me, so I splurged for the good stuff. It sticks up quite a bit, but having the on/off slide as well as the push button should keep it from activating in my pockets accidentally.

Massive throat hit. Great vapour, and lots of flavour. Plenty of power too, these are 3 800mah NiMH batteries. There is more air-flow since there is nothing blocking the centre hole, I imagine this would be like the draw on one of those new Pilot models with 4 hole atomizers. Once I get my greedy happy hands on a dead battery, I hope I'll be able to cut that epoxy away and redo it with a proper battery connector. If not, I've got a spare battery box.

EDIT: If you want to see more exciting, beautiful, captivating, exhilarating, stimulating and arousing mods like this, I want your dead or unwanted batteries. I'll pay you $3 for an M401/402/403/Intellicig EVO and $2 for a DSE901/Rn4075

Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

NICE mod youfillintheblank . Also when you fix in a 401 battery case
you should be able to leave the auto switch in there .
and you could bridge it with your manual switch so you got an auto or
    manual ecig . nice feature

fillintheblank, Wonderful looking mod! I wish I could do this. This is so exciting that people can make there own units. I would need a step-by step instuctions and may still not be able to do it. I would love to try. Maybe someday I just might.

I am not an artist, can you tell?

The positive lead goes to the centre post of atomizer/battery connector, and negative to the outer ring. Fill with e-liquid, slide switch to ON, push the shiny red button and it'll look like your mouth caught on fire.

Are you just using 3 standard 1.2v rechargeable batteries in there? Thanks.

Yup. they last most of the day, I prefer my AA battery mod for vape-time, but this is nice and compact and not heavy.
