Default classic atmzr to Screwdriver adaptor

this was originally in the tips n tricks section , but as we now have a modders forum , this would be more at home here.

Right finnaly managed to get around to doing this today. this isn't going to be one of those 'in-depth' how to's but rather a rough guide as it's really a simple little project for all you screwdriver owners.

so to make a little adaptor to use a generic 4072 pen style classic atomizer you will need:
    • 1 901 atomizer
    • 1 RN 4072 classic battery
    • solder iron , hacksaw, files etc.
    and thats it.

First things first you wanna remove the threaded adators from the atomizer and battery, how you do it is up to you. I ended up peeling the casing off because both where stuck in real tight. you want to keep the wires from the battery and about 15mm of the battery housing.

from the pics you can see what needs to be done ...can't you ?

what you need to do is solder one wire to the centre pole of say the atomizer connector and another wire to the inside of the outer wall of the atomizer connector. once thats done pass the wires through the casing and solder the other ends of the wires to the battery connector in the same configuration.

once done, push the connectors carefully into the housing. I used the help off a 'G' clamp here with 2 wood pieces to protect the threads as they are quite a tight fit.

that's it really , job done..and like the screwdriver itself...it just works

I can obviously also use any 901 battery with the pen atomizer too in an emergency situation. hehe

    lol Di ,
Since i done this originally Trog has given in to popular demand and is making adaptors for 801 classic atomizers.
The ones he makes are far higher quality and the tube he makes differently from aluminium.
I'm not sure how much he charges but give him a shout if your after one.

    Default asked trog

    I did ask trog,
I don't think he wants to make one for me,
he suggested I should go buy myself a 801 usb
    as it would be cheaper,

Apostle, very nice work! I've been considering buying a screwdriver but always thought an 801 atomizer made more sense than a 901. Is trog really providing an adapter? If you ever decide to construct a few modified screwdrivers for sale, please put me right behind dikerry for your first ones!

trog should be selling the classic adaptors pretty soon

ECigScrewdriver - View Single Post - SD to classic adapter.. how to..

I know originally he wasn't doing classic SD but seems if people want it , then why not supply it.

I think you can either get the 'ultimate' screwdriver kit which includes the adaptor or when he makes some up , you'll be able to get them individually.
    Don't ask me how much . cause I haven't got a clue
