    Default And then there's Mod

Another one. This time with more power. I epoxyed a DSE901 battery connector to a 4 AAA battery box, replaced the slide switch with a heavy duty electronic push button microswitch and run it on 4 AAAs. The switch fit absolutely perfectly in where the original switch went, and the pushbutton does not stick up, so it's safe to carry in pocket. I had to shave a little plastic away with an x-acto knife so I can press it with my big talented fingers. I left the centre post on the battery connector open to give more air flow, so I can direct inhale without having a stroke. Nice thick vapour.

I think I have more mods than I do socks now.

Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

    Simple but elegant.

4 AAs certainly give plenty of vapor, you're right. Their larger capacity perhaps able to provide more current (less voltage drop) than a smaller lithium. I've found 2 AAs works, just, with a little delay on the heat up, 3 is ok, and 4 is awesome, but with burning ever more likely if the juice runs out - that's the downside. As for atomiser life span, let's see ...

I wish they made these type of boxes for a single cr123a battery. Imagine the power of a screwdriver in such a small housing. Great job!

I haven't read the thread yet... but I think anyone who could throw in a reference to a 70's sitcom starring Beatrice Arthur should get kudos!

Hmm, would 4 AAA's have enough power for a penstyle, or would it hve to be stepped up to the 123?
