Just some first thoughts of mine about the maksi 510 at 5v after a day...

As with other devices there is a small learning curve, video's posted mention finger tight assembly of the parts but as everyone has different strengths for me it is feather tight. When first assembling I found due to overtightening would make the atty be permanently connected and firing. Even with it at feather tight there is not much tolerance left for the switch, then again this is such a small gripe and after 10 mins toying around I found the perfect tightness, perhaps adding an extra O-ring to the 2 would help people at the initial assembly to avoid any confusion ?

Small bit about the 'black'. As seen with frog's pics the black is not black, I'd describe it as sony rusty black. In my eyes the colour works really well with the brass caps, better than it would be with a plain matte black imo. Comparison below with a black other well known device.



So far I absolutely love the switch on this, combined with the locking mechanism and a venting hole on the end cap it's a simple masterpiece. As others have mentioned no doubt the cries of 'start your photocopiers' can be heard from Shenzhen.

With a 5v passthrough I normally keep a cart with filler in and top up as you would normally do with a 3.7 device however with a fully charged battery I recommend just using a blank cart and dripping for the first hour as at fully charged it is just like vaping at 6v, certainly for me my atty is just as thirsty and needs a constant 3-4 drips at a time.

Vaping quite heavy I got about +2.5 hours out of my first charge, and a nicotine headache to boot. Since then the initial new toy to play with syndrome has died and back to vaping more like I normally do, moderately heavy if there is such a thing, subsequent life has been around 4 hours out of a charge.

Just now, until Tim puts extra batteries on sale I would not say it's an all day device for me(at 5v) personally, 14650's for out all day vaping for now, or 14500's with the midi sleeve.

Ce modèle nous a aimablement été prêté par Franck, modérateur du forum ecigarette-public que nous tenons a remercier.
Ce produit, qui à la base utilise des atomiseurs 510, ou 801 ou 901 est commercialisé par Smokejuice. Selon ce vendeur, le Mako proposé en trois versions (selon le type de batteries et voltage que l'on souhaite utiliser) a été entièrement conçu et est fabriqué en Grande Bretagne ce dont nous n'avons aucune raison de douter.

Le kit "midi":

• 1 Mako Midi complète
• 2 Batteries au choix
• 1 atomiseur au choix ( 801,901,510)

Observations:

• Finition de très bonne qualité

Utilisation:

Ce "mod" est un vaporisateur personnel plus qu'une cigarette électronique. Outre les nombreuses possibilité d'utilisation de batteries selon le modèle choisi ( Minno, Midi, Maksi ) ce qui a retenu surtout notre attention c'est la bonne qualité d'un article qui est somme toutes artisanal et un switch pour le moins original. En effet celui-ci se trouve à la base de ce vaporisateur et une astuce permet de le mettre en mode bloqué ou actif. Pour cela il suffit de tourner l'anneau du switch de 180°. Les "O-Ring" (en fait des joints toriques) sont une autre particularité intéressante dans la mesure où ils permettent en fonction du nombre de "rings" mis en place d'utiliser aussi bien ( modèle Midi) des batteries 14500 en 3,7v, 2 CR2 (6v au total) ou encore des batteries pour mini pipe.
Pour le reste il semble solide et utilise (selon le choix de l'acheteur avec des possibilités ensuite d'ajouter des adaptateurs pour les autres modèles d'atomiseur).
Pour ce test nous avons utilisé deux batteries de 3v (soit 6V) un atomiseur Dura de Janty et Mega 510 de Totally Wicked.


”Vapoter - Inhaler”:

• Tirage/aspiration: facile et naturel
• Liquide dans la bouche : Non
• Fumée/vapeur produite: Très Bonne et bon rendu des arômes, mais attention au hit trop fort en 6v.
• Échauffement de l’atomiseur: perceptible au niveau de l'atomiseur en utilisation "intensive"
• Capacité de la batterie : 1/2 journée , mais peut varier selon la fréquence de "vapotage"

Mode d'emploi: A voir absolument sur leur chaîne You Tube et ce document à télécharger ( en anglais seulement malheureusement)

Garantie : 1 an

Points positifs :

• Bon rendu des arômes et volume de vapeur
• Design et look de l'ensemble original
• Le switch, un vrai coup de coeur
• Les "O-ring" astucieux.
• Impression de robustesse
• Le prix raisonnable pour un mod

Points négatifs:

• Curieusement une simple vis en guise de contact avec les batteries au niveau du support d'atomiseur
• Le 6V peut s'avérer un peu "fort" au niveau du "hit"
• Le changement d'adaptateur pas évident pour les maladroits
  

Commentaires:

Le rendu des arômes et le volume de fumée/vapeur sont de solides arguments pour ce vaporisateur personnel. C'est la première fois que nous testons un dispositif en 6V et nous ne sommes pas convaincus de l'intérêt car en maintenant le switch appuyé trop longtemps nous avons eu des "hits" trop forts .

Le switch par contre nous a séduit autant par sa finition que par la possibilité de le "bloquer". Le système des "rings" nous semble également très intéressant, permettant à chacun de trouver la meilleure configuration. Le look est également très attirant. En tous cas pour un objet visiblement artisanal c'est une réussite même si pour utiliser toutes ses possibilités il faut presque avoir une âme de bricoleur.

Anyhow, this device is simple amazing and practically maintenance free, that's the best part. Other then Noalox on the threads, that's about it, which actually wasn't suggested due to the base being brass and can cause loss of vapor, from experience, and honestly, really isn't needed.. The base locks and unlocks on a 180 degree turn to vapor and un vaporize. (It clicks, literally a very small turn left to right, it's hard to explain, very, very classy).

The button is feel is so amazing, words cannot describe it. And the simplicity of the device is amazing too. The batteries charge in 2 hours, and last for days, as I've actually use it daily as of late, have yet to change the batteries.

I give it a 10 out of 10, and a must buy, even for those that already own a 6.0v device, or a 3.7v device, I highly recommend owning this device, as I own two Prodigy V3s in both Satin and Media Stainless Steel, an of course an ICON owner, so I'm not biased by any means, but I must say, this is one of the best Electronic Cigarette Devices, I have ever witnessed or used, a side from the Prodigy V3, but requires MUCH LESS cleaning / maintenance. I went with crinkle power coated black with of course the normal gold brass coloring, and has a MAKO engraving on the top.

I can't get over the vapor production, it's out of this world. I would say it puts out a tad more vapor, then the Prodigy V3, but of course, you know what that means, uses more liquid. But to put it simple, it's a must buy item, again I give it four thumbs up and 10 stars, man, I truely am blown away.

For $90.00 Shipped, comes in a very classy tin can, sealed all nice, 100% cleaned, no crit or anything, completely clean as if it was machined in a ventilated and sealed room, to put it lightly.

You can't beat it, of course the Prodigy V3 is just as good and I give it the same results. But, from use, this thing puts out TONS of vapor, I've tested the V3 and this device back to back, and the vapor is just out of this world and puts out a whole lil bit more, but all in all that doesn't really matter, the device itself, is just amazing alone. But, uses a lot more juice of course, as noted above, so be warned, and it's capable of 7.4v if requested.

Which is mind blowing, and honestly, I stay at 6.0v, it's more then enough. I can't see my screen for about 3-5 seconds after exhale from the MAKO Midi if I blow at it.
