I have had success with taking a very small pair of needle nosed pliers and grabbing the nipple of the atomizer and either turning a quarter or half turn or giving it a slight tug. But it does help to keep the same atomizer with the USB. I have both 801 and 4072. This technique works on both.

Becareful doing this though, theres a chance you make disconnect the wire behind the nipple.

Sun- the stamp for the 901 and 801 is in the same spot.
    I'll post a pic tomorrow.

The stamp on the atomizers are located in the same place they are located in for the batteries.

I took a pic of a 901 atty if that helps.

As I have stated in another post, the 901 ats work great with the 901 usb passthrough. The 801 ats from MVS have a different post that do not connect with the usb passthrough.

The 801 ats that I get from David Yang work perfectly with the 801 usb passthrough from MVS and they have the same type post as the 901 ats.

I did receive the e-mail this morning, I just checked and it was sent to my aol account, so, I apologize for that!!

Thank you for the e-mail reply and I will send them back to you as they do not work with the passthrough.

    Thanks Idahojo for the suggestion.
I will not fidget with these atomizers to try and get them to work. In my opinion, they either work or they don't. I appreciate the suggestion, but it really takes the pleasure away from the experience.

Hey Sun, The 801 does have a stamp that says:

    SLB 2008 03 11

this looks like a date and the maker.

    Just An FYI:

The Very Common Center Posts Electrical Contact Issues:

    - I Find That All The Center Post's On The Batts & Atoms (All Brands I Several I Have Tried of My Dozens) All Move In or Out A Bit.

    - The Center Electrical Contact Post Is Surrounded / Isolated With A Silicone Type Washer To Prevent It From Shorting Out, So Be Carefully Not To Pull or Damage It.

    - The Center Post Can Be Pulled Out Very Carefully & Slowly (Needle Nose Pliers or Good Tweezers), Just A Hair is All Thats Needed (anymore & good bye).

    - They Also Can Lose Contact Again and Can Be Pulled Out Again.

    - If You Pull To Hard or Incorrectly You Will Pull It Apart..

    - It is Wise To Designate Your Atomizers For Either Use of The Battery Or The USB Pass Through. Try To Mark Them, Even Putting A Small Scratch On The Band or Elseware Will help Since Even The Permanent Markers & Most Paints Don't Hold up Long. But Do Not Mix Them Up.

    - When You Have It Working, Don't Mess With It and Don't Change Its Designation.

    - Its A Fact That The Center Posts On The Batteries & Atoms Will Differ Slightly, But In General Will Work, Sometimes a Tweak Is Needed.

Again This Effects Most All Of The Dozens of Atoms & Batts I Have, So Until There Is A Design Change (which I doubt will happen, next generation will be next) Thats How It Is With All Of Them.

I Don't Believe This Is A Defect or Can Clearly Be Called A Defect At All, Its Common In Factories For Tolerances, Out Sourced Parts To Differ A Bit as Well As Factory QT.

    Hope That Helps.

    Hi Cell,

I am just going to send them back because the ats that I get from DY work perfectly with the passthroughs and I really don't want to fuss with these.

I really appreciate the advice, but I really do not like to fuss with things like that. IMO, it either works or it don't with electronics.
