Did you just totally stop smoking and vape only? I'm mystified by that!!!!!

Yup!
I got my kit, and just stopped. It wasn't too hard for me. I did have one cig, about 3 weeks after I started vaping, in a period of extreme stress. But I'm now at 2 months since I started vaping, and that's it.
Not everyone quits this way. Some people take days, weeks, or even months to taper off. Some people use snus to supplement their e-cigs, to replace the other addictive substances besides nicotine in cigs that e-cigs don't have, and that some people are addicted to.
There's no right or wrong way. Just keep trying to vape more and smoke less. Maybe it'll happen over night, maybe it'll happen in 3 months. The point is to keep at it.
I found that I needed two strengths of juice in the beginning. A stronger one for first thing in the morning and one of most of the rest of the time. Then no more cigs. The e-cig tasted so much better than cigs that I preferred the e-cig. Since I was getting the nicotine I wanted it was easy. If I crave a cig, I take 3 puffs of the e-cig, then I don't want a cig anymore.
It took me about two weeks of doing a combo of vaping and smoking to kick the tobacco to the curb. There are still times that I really, really want an analog, but I just remind myself of how nasty it will taste and that seems to do it for me. I'm not sure I'll ever get past wanting a cigarette every now and then, but the key is just going to be getting past that craving and moving forward from there.
One day at a time, I guess.![]()
I still do after 7 mos, which I think puts me in the minority around here (or at least the minority among those who talk about it). I don't know if, for me, it's that much of a matter of addiction. Most days I don't have any cigarettes between about 6 a.m (love those two morning cigarettes but never smoke a third one) and 8 p.m., and usually end the day having smoked four or five. Six maximum is my one rule, and I haven't broken it in months. That's down from I guess 20-25 (30 in my peak smoking years, I guess). I think it's more a matter of laziness on my part and a lack of desire to "quit the club" entirely. But I know I'm feeling better for this drastic reduction, even if it's not (and may or may not ever become) a total quit.
What amazes me is the sense that so many of the most successful complete, often instant, switchers here seem to be the 2-3 (or more!) pack-a-day guys and gals.
By the way, you don't have to use the word "analogs."
Any one who trys vaping and still smokes analogs or goes back to analogs imho never really vaped correctly or had a cheap mall store e-cigarette with crappy flavored carts and low nic.

Starting my third week here. Took about a week to stop lighting up when I woke up, or after meals. After that, it hasn't been bad at all to not buy a pack, and stick to vaping.
For my wife and I it is a work in progress. We are both down to 4 or 5 analogs a day and believe that will be down to 0 in a short time. From 17 analogs to 4 or 5 in a few days speaks volumes for the potential of letting analogs go for good.
We just got some 18mg juice and hopefully that will do it for us.![]()
