After you get used to the ecig you WILL start making your own ejuice. It's cheaper and once you get the hang of it you can make the juice you WANT not the juice you can GET.

I'm confused about what can be used with what, like the joye ego and 510...you can use the carts for a 510 on the ego batt and the 510 atty on the ego, and my 902 which is a 510, can be used with....yada yada yada...LOL...cartomizer v.s. atty and cartridge...what model can drip and what can't....and can you just drip a few drops on the atty....and the atty's that are long, can you unscrew the ends and look at the atty portion of it and just HOW much of the filler do you put in, should it be folded when you put it in....LOL...I could go on....it is the hardware compatability that confuses me the most...BUT I'm getting a handle on it...and I'll play with it now that I ordered another model with two of everything....LOL....but I'm not complaining, I'm enjoying the ride and the learning experience. Makes me want to get a store front and start my own shop up....but then there's ANOTHER list of confusion, laws, etc...LOL...

I had many questions related to making my own juice, but just searching and reading this forum has helped tremendously.

One of the most confusing and still is when a vendor sells a type ( ie 510 / kr808d-1 / E9 / 901 / 902 / etc) but only refers to it as their "brand" name so everyone is let to question well will a "X" brand battery work with a "Y" atty or carto. I know most do it so you will only go back to them for your supplies but with the fast changing market in e-cigs its hard to find any one place that has a list of "X" brand batteries will work will "Y" and also "Z" atties. It also seems that the quality control of the products is lacking. I have several carts that I bought at the same time and took apart to clean but some pieces will only fit well when matched up (the end peice of one will be loose in another so after cleaning I have to figure out which will fit properly with out falling out or having to force into).

Think the most confusing for me now is what flavors I want to try and like.

Which model to get was a biggie for me. After a week of research (thanks ECF) and then price shopping I ended up with a 510 and I love it.
If someone was to just go by the awful disposable e-cigs found at places that sell smokes they would have no idea what a good hitting flavorful e cig can be.

Luckily, but perhaps unfortunately, I read about e-cigs on an unrelated forum in which V4L brand was highly recommended so I jumped on that. Had I known about all the different options that are available (now that I've discovered ECF), I would likely still be researching. Now that I'm at least temporarily committed to a delivery system (KR808D), it's the endless choices of strengths, flavors and cart types to choose from. I also just ordered my first juices, so I'll see how that goes.

The different models and compatibility was a big one for me. 510, eGo, Riva, Titan, 910, E9, KR808s, etc. Then you have the "brands" (i.e. Bloog, Blu, LoongTotem, Vapor King, etc. into infinity) that you can't figure out what the heck they are, so you don't know if you can buy X cartomizer from X vendor of if you are stick with "Brand of E-Cig" cartomizer because nothing else will work with whatever you have, because not even you know what you have!

I swear we need a list. Something like: This is a 510. It is sold under the names: X, Y, and Z. You can use B or C cartomizers or cartridges.
Do it for all the popular styles/brands of e-cigs. So far I haven't found any such list and don't have the time or the knowledge to make one. It would make e-cig shopping so much easier. "Alright, I have a [insert your e-cig], I can buy these cartirdges, these atomizers, these batteries, and these passthroughs. Now I know what to shop for."

The first real confusion (and there have been many)...

if i could even get them in Canada. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out customs rules and so forth (still very hazy on the customs bit). At first i thought you couldnt get them here at all - even read 1 article saying they were banned. Obviously i've sinced learned thats totally false. But I saw the Health Canada report and customs horror stories before i ever saw a canadian retailer. So..that was the first wtf moment(s).
