    That's OK. I really don't need the weight at this point. I found out the information that I need from a different perspective and I can essentially calculate the value.

    1 lb of cigarette tobacco will make approximately 2.5 - 3 cartons of cigarettes.

    At 1 mg of nicotine per cigarette then this is about (wild approximation) 500 mg of nicotine in a 1 lb bag of cigarette tobacco.

    No. Apparently there can be around 15mg of nicotine in a cig. We only get about 1mg from it because the rest goes up as sidestream smoke or is lost in other ways.
