Unhappy Some questions about vaping with 510

    Hey all

Ive just received a new titan/dura-c from the electronic cigarette company and have a few questions...would be really grateful for some help!

Have been vaping all day yesterday but today the atomiser i was using doesnt produce the throat hit and decent vapour that it did at the beginning of yesterday. I blew through it and drained it last night and it hasnt made any difference. Does this mean that the atomiser needs replacing already? I was also wondering if using the manual battery reduces the lifespan of the atomiser as there is no cut-off, especially when the atomiser is dry?

Would be really grateful for some help.

    Many thanks

    Andy

I've had my Dura-C for about a month now and both atomizers are still working great. No problem with throat hit or vapor.

You might want to consider posting this in their forum, or Totally Wicked's forum, since it's their product and may have some recommendations for you.

Have you been swapping carts, or topping them off?

    Have you been dripping?

Try blowing out the atomizer (disconnected from battery), and letting it drain, wick end down on a paper towel . You can try one of the various cleaning methods if you'd like at your discretion, but if you do, make sure you rinse thoroughly, then re-prime the atty wick with a few drops directly on it before putting it back on the battery. Let it sit for a few minutes to re-prime, then pop it together with a fresh cartridge and try again.

Sorry, maybe you've done this, but you didn't give much info, for all we know, you may still be using a single non refilled cart :-)

Thanks for the help guys...i have been dripping into the atomiser. I guess what Im unsure about is whether the atomisers suddenly stop working or whether there is a gradual decline in its performance as Ive noticed with other ecigs. Have popped in the backup atomiser and its working like a dream again! Will leave the other one to drain and try it again tomorrow. Would be really good to find a PV atomiser that works consistently as my EVO was terrible like that...it would just decline in performance until it was pretty much unuseable.

    Thanks again

    Aye up,

You might have flooded the atty a bit. When this happens to me I use a sheet of Andrex, rolled up and gently pushed into the atomizer, then blow like 'eck through t'other end. Repeating until no more liquid appears on the paper.
    Usually does the trick.

Id wager its just "flooded" too. When my vapor gets weak, blowing the wee out of it usually does it for me.
Even give it a shot of canned air if its available too.

ok will try that...thanks guys. when atomisers do eventually pack it in, is it a gradual process or do they suddenly stop working?

    That's a difficult one...

Some just get weaker and weaker then call it a day. I have some that were fine one day then next day couldn't get a thing out of them. I have a 901 that has been hammered by being on the SD, since November - still good!

I have a Janty Classic atomiser that I purchased Sept 2008 that is working almost as strongly as the day I got it - and I use it a lot!

I have generic classics that lasted 1 day and others a few months.

    Luck of the draw methinks!

ive had this happen a few times since i got my 501. One thing that does help is if you take the cart off hold down the manual button and heat the atty dry and blow hard into the end of the atty. for some reason this has revamped my vapor production. Whenever i use VG based ejuice my 510 will pregressively get harder to draw on and vapor production goes down but it doesnt do this with PG.
