Default Hi I am new with a question

First of all my name is Pat and I am from WA state USA.

As you see from my nickname and I PatandSassy, Sassy is my 6 pound silver toy poodle that is inserable from me so of course I had to use her name as well.

What would be a good but fairly inexpensive way for me to go? I don't want to invest a lot at first until I see if it works, if I like them and so on.

I am trying to quit smoking but once I get the electronic I think even if later go with a no nicotine refill or possible the drops I have seen that I would like to use it once in a while when I just want to chill out and relax.

Any info on my questions would be appreciated.

    Pat

The 901 is universally considered as an excellent "starter" ecig.(although many who start with a 901 like it so much they continue to use it).

See this thread for what the most common models look like: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...dels-here.html

If you want the least expensive 901 look here: Wholesale E-Cigarette - China Ruyan Wholesale - Discount Electronic Cigarette Wholesale From China you can get a 901 for 29.99 shipped. I have ordered 2 of these and they work well. You will also need to buy 2-3 extra batteries and 2-3 extra atomizers. These things can and do break. If you don't have spares you can be high and dry. You should be able to spend $60 or so and be set equipment wise.

I would also look at a 510 from Widows Bead Work - Home This unit is $50 and comes with 2 atomizers instead of one. Buy 2 extra batteries and you should be set to start (about $70 total). The 510 is considered one of the most reliable best performing ecigs on the market. This model also has the advantage of being a manual switch device which will help with overall battrery life before needing to be completely replaced.

You will also need to buy some juice for refilling your cartridges. You will read some stuff that says a cart = 1 pack of cigs. This is NOT true. My experience is 1 cart = 3-4 cigs.

Here are 2-3 links for some of the best juice suppliers going:

    MyVaporStore.com
    www.juicyliquid.com
    Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop
    EliquidPlanet

To start figure $15-$25 for juice.

To start with a bare minimum of equipment and juice it will be between $60-$90.

I also STRONGLY encourage you to read these 2 threads and look at the videos included. It will take a couple of hours, but if you invest the time, you will be so much more informed and happier with the vaping experience.

Welcome to the club. I'm new with a bunch of questions too.

First question...how did you post a new thread. I tried and they told me I can't because I'm a newbie a-hole.

Second question...I'm about to order from NJOY, but it looks like the PC police have beat me to it.

Somebody please tell me I'm imagining things. They are all out.

I think you can start a new thread, but only in the new users section . As for the NJOY I know very little about that model. Did you try the review forum here: Electronic Cigarette Reviews - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

One of my earlier models was from NJoy - their penstyle. A bit overpriced, but a solid, dependable unit. The warranty more than equals out the added price, IMO. But, right now with their troubles getting in supplies, you might want to go a different route.

Agreed on this. You can't go wrong with a 901. Seems like everyone sells them and at a reasonable price too. You will be happy with it. Easy to use. Easy to refill with liquid. Plenty of parts and accessories for it and a ton of info.
    Good luck with your decision.

    Default One is never enough

I started out with a pen style...and while the carts are supposed to last more since they hold more juice i've got to be honest...Im in LOVE with my new 401! Im getting better draw, better Vape, and most definitely better flavor out of it. My pen has been retired to back-up, in case of emergency status. I am now collecting batteries and attys and looking forward to a PCC and a pass through.

Dont feel like you will choose the wrong one. Once you start I assure you ...you will be collecting many many diifferent models to try out!

    best of Luck!

    Hi,

I am also from WA (an island off West WA).

I know how horribly confused you must be with all the different info. I'm also a newbie for the last ~1month.

I've tried the 901, M401, penstyle and 510. It wasn't until I got the 510 that I was able to get off regular cigarettes (analogs).

The 510 (also called Dura, Dura-C, Titan, Yeti and other...) gives a great vapor, throat hit, etc, and made it possible for me to quit cigarettes. To be honest, I haven't had a chance to try out out the 901 because I'm still waitng for the charger (a different 901) But still, I have three 510s from two different companies and all three are excellent.

Please don't give up(!) and feel free to PM me if you want more newbie info. Although info from long time vapers is invaluable and has helped me sooo much!

    Their info is the best!!!!

    Hi:

Welcome to ECF. I'd have to say Elendils advise is the best. There is a learning curve with these vaporizers. Best for you to start with the easily available 901, it has all the fun of start up. The cig size, flashing light, you can add accessories, ie: usb, powerpack.

There is a learning curve with all the vaporizers so the 901 is the most reliable, and inexpensive way to start (to see if you like it).

After you give it a try and experience vaping for a bit and maybe feel you might want to upgrade come back here. As this seems to be an addiction for all of us that love it. We can then help you to upgrade should you want to.

    Good luck to you.
