Default I'm afraid I may have killed my atomizer.

I've been vaping for a bit now, so I decided to clean my atomizer. I let it rest in isopropyl alcohol for a few hours and then ran hot water through it for about 30 seconds. I set it out to dry on a paper towel for the night. When I woke up blew through it onto a tissue and hooked it up. It barely works at all! Did I do something wrong?

blow through it hard, and make sure no qater comes through it (disconnected from battery).

Next, drop 2-4 drops onto the atomizer wick/bridge directly (the steel mesh), let it sit a few minutes.

Put back on battery, if you've got water droplets in the wick, it may take a number of inhales/puffs to get it going again.

So is water the problem? Shouldn't the alcohol evaporate well enough that I don't need to rinse it?

Only Clean With Warm Water and Final Rinse With Distilled Water. Let Dry, Add 3 Drops or so of Juice, Puff Slow and Go.

If u look at the cleaning threads, most all cleaners, boiling water & chemicals will destroy the atoms. Not everyone will tell u that, truthfully admit they ruined their atom and there is a lot of BS on cleaning....

Thank you guys for the help! I dripped on the atomizer this morning before I put it back on(forgot to mention that) but I didn't let it sit. Letting the juice sit for a moment before using it seems to have really done the trick. I thought I'd researched it well enough, but there are so many opposing ways of how to do things. I suppose I should be more gentle with the cleaning process and I will definitely use warm water/distilled water next time. Thank you again!

After rereading your post Cellmeister, I have to wonder if you're telling me to not use the alcohol whatsoever?

Give it a chance. Most atomizers take a long time to come back after being cleaned out. Load a few drops and puff yer butt off. It may come back to life.

whatever anyone says attys are semi disposable and often the so called preventive maint cleanings only shorten the life. the only thing you should really do is blow them out and wipe off the threads. even with water when left to dry overniite will start rusting the unit. so only do this kind if thing as a last resort.

As you can tell, there are differing opinions :-)

I don't believe alcohol shortens atty life at all. Some might, but I've yet to hear that one. Other solutions might, and you should always ensure anything you may use, is followed by rinsing clean, and letting it dry completely, then a prime of a few drops before use again.

Attys are certainly disposable/consumable items, anything you get above a few weeks is generally a 'bonus,' you'll have to make your own mind up regarding cleaning, just please don't vape or try to when something 'odd' may be in your atty!

There's also nothing wrong with simply letting them drip dry upside down and blowing them out, it's up to you.

What's the point of cleaning them, unless you're changing flavors
