I pushed that button about 4 hours ago. I ordered the same thing (added some chocolate carts and liquid). Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice! The bunny rabbit convinced me to click the button.

This is a really good forum. Some forums on the net are just a mess, and full of jerks who do nothing but bash newbies and spout advertizements.

Now, I anxiously await my new toys. I'm sure there are enough 510 reviews on here, but if there aren't, I'll add one soon.

Oh ....you two will be fine. You know ClockWork, I too love clove (Djarum). I have the Janty clove liquid. Definitely not as strong as Djarum but at least it's clove. I need to do some more searching for a stronger one. I remember someone saying that a supplier was going to make an attempt at Djarum. I'm on the hunt now.

Janty is not up and running right now, but they will be back if you want to try their liquid. They also have several other flavors in prefilled cartridges. Let us know what you think, and any other questions after you give it a try.

My best to you.

Default 0 nicotine liquid + the cartomizer alternative

I also want to have at least some of my vaping be at 0 mg nicotine level. I'm really enjoying the vaping experience and want to engage in it a lot more than my previous 15 UltraLight analogs/day. This can be challenging. There is a great clamoring for higher and higher nicotine levels.

I currently use a KR808D-1 (myriad brand names, most of which are listed on the cigeasy.com site, where I bought my starter kit). This type has a disposable cartomizer (i.e., combined atomizer and cartridge). It has the advantage of not needing to "spend too much time maintaining the equipment." It's disadvantage is the the lowest nicotine level I've found for the prefilled cartomizers is 11 mg (from mist-stix.com, which also has the cheapest prices I've seen).

[NOTE: I am not affiliated with (nor do I get a kick-back from) either of these dealers, nor the e-liquid suppliers I mention below. And there are several other reputable, highly regarded vendors of this model and of the e-liquids.]

So for me (and, I guess, you), 0 nicotine pretty much means filling blank cartridges with liquid (which, as others have mentioned in this thread, is no big deal). And that has required me to get an additional/different device. I've just ordered a penstyle (DSE801, although there are several others). If you think the 510 is "kind of large," check out the penstyle: about 50% longer. And then, check out the mods (not so much longer, but fatter), e.g., Screwdriver, GG, Janty Stick. [People who use them swear by them.]

I've ordered a whole bunch of blank cartridges, which I'll fill with 0 mg liquid from such places as eliquidplanet.com, johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com, nuvape.com, and totallywicked-eliquid.com. Liquidxpress.com has what appears to be an excellent price for flavorless, non-nicotine liquid (to which you can add various flavorings). <-- All of this would be relevant for any style of e-cig, e.g., the 510.

As for "not hate/regret my first e-cig purchase": investigate thoroughly (especially here on ECF and the sites and video reviews referenced by people here). If you do, you will be able to "choose wisely."

However, your first e-cig purchase probably will not be your last. And I'm not just talking about replacement parts. This is a pretty new technology/industry and the perfect e-cig has yet to be invented (nor probably ever will be, at least perfect for everyon). And you (and I) are just beginning our exploration of it - we need to feel our way, with some trial and error.

Happy Vaping!

I also smoked Djarum... the menthol one. And I'm new to vaping.
I bought a dura-c and am still learning. And I'm intrigued about the possibility of someone coming up with a real clovey imitation of the Djarums. Sure hope they do a menthol version. (Actually, I have always thought it was more like strong, sweet spearmint than menthol.) Someone keep us posted on this, ok?

Hi Don:

Welcome to ECF. Let us know how that 801 compares to what you were using before. Bet it is a world of difference for you (for the better). Consider picking up a usb to use at your computer if you like the 801 and decide to stay with it. It will cut down your cost of batteries.

The next step up would be a Dura-C, 510, Titan, etc... (A manual battery of course.) The best personal vaporizer in my opinion for a beginner. I believe it to be the best performer of the tube type vaporizers. I really like the Dura-C and use it alot for special occasions (going out).

But my favorite is the manual battery Screwdriver. Quality, battery life, cost of maintaining, and of course it is a handcrafted piece of art. Not something throw away from China.

Sometime soon you may just find yourself with a manual battery too.

Best of luck to you.

Hey moblack:

I like the Dura-C. Good warranty too. If we find that Djarum you can always mix menthol in it. I just purchased another brand of clove to try from a supplier here. Still have not found the Djarum one yet. Maybe it is not marketed yet. Let's keep up the search.

Welcome to ECF!

Wow lots of great stuff here.. trying to design my vaping experience vnot only to cut out analogs but maybe ecigs as well before long.

Just ordered my 510 and from what I am reading here I have at least a part of my strategy worked out... two batteries to start... both fully charged.. one loaded with nic juice second loaded with 0 nic juice.... vap the 0 til I need a hit of nic...

I know using the 510 will require a couple more batts for the rotation my order comes with two black manuals think I will order two titanium autos if I like it for the non nic carts.....

Whadaya Think?

Hey DaBrat:

The zero, and the nicotine hit sometimes was my plan last year when I started vaping too. Unfortunately, that little plan didn't get me off the analoges. Hopefully it works for you, as we all are different. But don't worry to much about that now. Just try to get transitioned over to the personal vaporizer how ever you have to do it with the strenght of nicotine that calms your cravings. You will understand more and be able to make adjustments when you have it in your hand and are using it. This is what is called the learning curve. Learning curve = not quite knowing what to expect, or what is right for you yet. Of course it also includes learning the tech stuff of it too. *Note: make sure to read and follow the directions that are included. Especially, the charging of the batteries so you get the optimal life out of them.

You're off to a good start because you have done your research. Good luck to you. Let us know how you like the 510.

And welcome to ECF, (the collective brain you are now joining.)

Hi everyone. I'm also a noob. I ordered my first e-cig, a 51, from smokeytreats on Sunday and I am vaping as we speak (Tuesday p.m.) Amazing service. I haven't had a "real" cig since I opened the mail. The only problem I've had so far is remembering where I laid it down the last time I used it!!! A pocket is a must with these things.

Thanks for the good info here guys.
