I've been trying a lot of models. At 52, I think my choices are an ecig or an oxygen tank

You may want to check out my post on what I'm currently planning, found in the "Tips and Tricks" forum. I'm a goof. So I titled it "Titan Tin" and "Penguin Pouch".

You will gather that I'm "sparing no expense." Not for everyone

Now don't hide your light under a bushel. *Where* can you get cartomizers for just over $1? The cheapest I found was from Mist-Stix.com: $6 for five (using ECF discount code. That's $1.20 each (which, I suppose, is "just over $1").

I was going through about 3 carts per day - a bit more expensive than I'd like.

Interesting. We went in opposite directions. I started w/ the KR. Now I'm cherishing my 801 (and can't wait to receive my Puresmoker passthrough.

I do agree with you about the convenience, especially when out and about. FYI: Drew at NHaler.com has just started offering a PCC for the KR808D-1.
