Default What is the difference between the Joye EGO and 510?

    Hi

Every site I look at I mainly see Joye 510/T or EGO? Can someone please describe the differences in plain English. The only difference I see is that the EGO is more expensive and has more accessories which makes the EGO very difficult for me to understand and probably use.

    Thanks in advance

The biggest difference between the two is battery life. The eGo will last at least 2-3 times as long per charge. But with the longer battery life, you get a fatter battery that is less cigarette-like. Yes, there are more types of cartomizers and atomizers available for eGo's, but anything that works on a 510 will work on an eGo as well. The eGo is probably the most recommended e-cig for new vapers on this forum.

The ego is bigger than an analog cig but not huge I can hide most of the ego in my hand and I have small hands.

The 510 is a slim ecig that more resembles the size of a cigarette. The eGo uses the same 510 thread and standard atomizer/cartridge combination, but the eGo comes standard with a larger 650mah battery. That's the main difference. The larger battery capacity opens the eGo up to a greater number of atomizers/cartomizers such as low resistance, dual coil, etc.

The 510 is limited to standard resistance atomizers and cartomizers, but the reason people choose the eGo at first is for the longer vaping time between charges. They get tired of running back and forth to the charger once and hour to and hour and a half. The Ego 1000mah battery lasts for around 10 hours on a charge with normal vaping frequency.

And I only smoked 6 a day for two years before that.

    Thanks everyone

So I have a 510-T. Could I buy an eGO battery and just use it at home with my 510-T atomiser and cart? And just use my 510 batt when i'm out so it looks like an analogue.

Besides lasting longer (the Ego is 650 mah while the 510 is, I believe, 180 mah) between charges, there are atomizers and cartomizers that are recommended to not be used on ECigs having lower mah. This is because the batteries cannot take the relative amount of discharge and thus tend to burn out.

The Boge cartomizers, which are fairly popular, that are at 2.0 ohms carry the recommendation to not be used on batteries less than 450 mah. Thus, you need an Ego or a 510 mega to use these. Boge also sells 2.8 ohm cartomizers and these can be use on 510s.

Yes and yes. Your 510 atomizer and cartridge will screw right on the eGo battery. You may find that when you are out and about that you'll forgo the 510 (to look like a cigarette idea) as the eGo battery will feel nice in your hand and you'll vape with it all day. I have 3 eGo batteries. I've had no problem vaping from 6:00 AM through 11:00 PM on a charge...none. Of course I'm not sucking the daylights out of the thing every fleeting moment either. I now use 2 set ups with different flavors for the day..say one with "Domestic" and the other with "Pomagranate".

The eGo has a 510 connector and another set of threads on the outside for a cone or the bigger eGo style cartomizers...

Can i use my 510 charger to charge an Ego battery? Also I am finding I have to take three continuous puffs (where the smoke is coming out of my nose.....you know the puff im talking about) to feel satisfied. Do you have to suvk less with an Ego? And do they come in auto and manual. Which would you recommend?

It's not recommended but it worked for me..it took over 6 hours to charge my eGo's though with a 510 charger. Someone posted it killed their batteries but it shouldn't as it's just a lower amp charger. I think there are auto eGo's but manual is the norm when it comes to them. A lot of time when I'm vaping I just puff it like a pipe sometimes inhaling through my nose to get the flavor..I inhale sometimes too..with a manual if you push the button 1 sec or so before sucking you can get a good amount of vapor 1st puff.
