New to vaping. Blucig is broken already. Advice please.
I have been vaping with my blucig for a few weeks now. The atomizer doesnt use all of the cart liquid so i bought some liquid and dripped. Now after a week of that one of my batterys is pretty much totally broken and the other one wont activate the atomizer.
Im ready to move on from this brand. I would like an e cig that has a nice throat hit and a decent ammount of vap. I prefer to use carts cause i dont like to constantly drip but its no big deal either way. Cosmetics arnt an issure but i do like some sort of portable charger. And durability is number one. I dont want it to break after a month. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
Thank you,

Get a 510
As has been posted all over this and many forums, you want a 510. You can get one from most any supplier. InnoVapor is currently one of the cheapest. A complete 2 cigarette kit will run you about $40 plus $7 more for a charger and $5 shipping (I think). This is by far the best ecig out there for throat hit, visual appearance, and vapor production. Cartridges are easy to refill and hold tons compared to others.

Yup the 510 is really great! I ordered from Rocky Mountain Vapor. $46 includes what you need to get going and the shipping is free and fast! As with any model there will be some replacing of attys and bats so prepare for that and have back-ups! Also, dripping is cheaper than pre-filled carts. I use the RMV Hilton and love it.
Good luck

I'm new to vaping, and not very good at it as I still enjoy an analog once in a while due to the lack of throat hit my 901 provides, but I've been watching these forums a lot. From what I've seen the 510 does seem to be a good solution to that. Also, people say it's good for dripping because the battery is sealed. According to users it's a liquid hog though, and you will need to top your cart off frequently. I'm probably going to purchase one myself. I don't mind keeping my cart topped.
Durability and reliability are supposedly an issue with most models. You never know if you'll get a dud. With my 901 starter kit, one of the batteries died 2 days after using it and one atomizer never worked. Fortunately, the company I ordered from does have at least a 20 day warranty.
Ruyandirect.com guarantees their batteries and atomizers for the 510 for up to 6 months and appears to have the cheapest price. So, if it doesn't work you can send it back and get a new one. They do not have a good selection of colors/LEDs though, just black/white w/blue or red LEDs. So far, I think that's where I'm going to get mine from.

510 is a good manual PV. My only issue with it is the very short battery life and the cost of the batteries. But I still recommend it over any auto switch PV. If you want the advantages of the manual PV such as great throat hit but with 7-8 hours of battery life, batteries that cost $2 instead of $13-$20 and are very durable, then consider these:
The Big Five in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:
Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: THE GG
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi: Zi Moshi Home

The price for the kit at Ruyandirect.com is $29 and comes with: 2 batteries, 1 atomizer, charger, 5 carts, and of course the 6 month guarantee policy.

I looked at some of the devices you listed I just can't seem to justify the initial cost, but obviously I've never experienced one. Most of them are $100+ and look awful!

If I was going to buy another 510 I would get it from Rocky Mountain Vapor. Prices are great and the shipping is fast and free. You get 2 batteries, 2 attys, 5 prefilled carts, and a home charger for $46.00 I also got an extra battery and atty for a total of $66.00 You can get a nice Pelican case off of Ebay for around $20 including shipping. The 510 is a great little ecig.

And this is why I rarely recommend "mod" type e-cigs to those new to vaping.
Don't get me wrong . . . in my opinion, the vape provided by a mod (and by "mod," I mean a higher voltage e-cig that doesn't look like an e-cig) is substantially better than the vape provided by e-cigs that are smaller and look more cigarette-like. The higher voltage provides a strong throat hit, and the batteries will last a good long while as compared to the smaller e-cigs.
But, yeah, they look weird. When I first started vaping, it was hard enough to vape in public with something that looked like a pen. I think I would have had a very hard time indeed vaping my Screwdriver in public in the beginning.
But a funny thing happens after you've been vaping for awhile . . . you start to care a heck of a lot less about the look and a whole lot more about the performance. And you get to the point where $100+ doesn't seem at all unreasonable to pay for something that works, works well, and works consistently. (Or, if you're at all handy, you can make a mod--there are some amazing folks on this board who have generously provided instructions for making some pretty cool, very inexpensive mods.)
But you usually don't get there overnight. It's a process. I hope I don't come across as kind of snobby, because that's not my intention at all. I'm just saying that when I first started vaping, part of what eased the transition was having something that kind of sort of looked cigarette like, and I didn't want to vape with a box or a hand tool.
Nothing wrong with that.
So my recommendation for those new to vaping is generally the 510. It's a nice e-cig with a powerful punch in a small package. The battery life isn't exactly great, but with a PCC (portable charging case), you can easily charge batteries on the go. And if you get a USB passthrough battery, you can vape away at a computer without worrying about battery life at all. (And if you don't want to be tethered to a computer, you can always get an adapter for your USB passthrough and plug it into a wall outlet, or you can buy a portable battery pack and use your USB passthrough with that.)
The 510 was my first e-cig, and I credit it with getting a 30-year, 2+ pack a day monkey off my back.

about batteries
Think about witch atomizer you like then think about how long the batteries will last
All the batteries are the same 3.7v--- -401,510,601,801,901 and the SD but with higher mAh except the prodigy V1 it has two 3.0v and stepped down to 5.0v and the GG has two 3.0v witch makes it 6v
mAh is measured at 500mAh of continues battery voltage for one hour
SD uses a 1000mAh bat at 3.7v = 2 hours
601 pipe 950mAh at 3.7v = 1 hour 55 min.
GG grant 800mAh at 6.0v = 1 hour 36 min.
Portage 750mAh at 5.0v = 1 hour 30 min.
JS 360mAh at 3.7v = 42 min.
801 and 401 280mAh at 3.7v = 33 min.
901 and 510 180mAh at 3.7v = 21 min.
