I started with a mini, moved up to a manual 510, and now I'm happy with my eGo. I miss the sleek look and feel of the analog-style models, but the battery life is frustrating. If I had to go 510, I would definitely go with the 510-T. Tanks are just so much better than cartridges in my opinion (no guesswork on refilling, easier to refill).

I read this entire thread and learned quite a bit. I started with an Ego-T just 2 months ago and since then I have upgraded to the Ego-C system, if you can call it an upgrade. And, I just purchased a Lava Tube VV. (On the way) So, in that 2 month period I learned to live with the occasional leaky tank and the attys that need cleaned or replaced with the Ego. That said, I look back to when I started smoking it was stolen Lucky Strikes. When I quit it was stuff your own. Whatever one chooses, the bottom line is buy something, learn from it and try something different if it's not for you. In this thread the OP got a lot of great advice. This is truly a great forum with lots of good people.

    Here's how I see it:
I recommend getting over the desire for a cigarette sized PV for 2 reasons. It's not likely going to give you enough vapor, and you are going to need a PCC charger cuz it's going to die all the time. This additional expense (around 40 bucks) will only be compounded when you go to buy an EGO to replace your 510. Every time I see a video on youtube about vaping reviews etc they bust out a 510 style (cigarette sized) PV and say something nasty about it, like omg my batteries are dead so I have to use this piece of crap. If you want a really nice starter PV go with an SLB KGO from Dark City Vapors. They sell them for the cheapest and there is usually a nice guy named Bill who will answer your questions that you will undoubtedly have. I just chatted him up and it's 4:30 in the morning. Just my two cents. I wish you the best of luck regardless but I hope you don't regret your decision.

I ordered my kGo from Virgin Vapors,, mainly because she had the pretty burgundy one I wanted. And her kits come with the atty.. which I wanted to have to try out. I know most people use cartos, including me on my V2 and Elite right now, but I've read so much about atty's I just had to try it. I also ordered some cartos, as those are what I'm used to. I'm thinking that with all this equipment, I should be good to go for a long time. And yes, I ordered a couple 510 to 808 adapters... all those 808 cartos won't go to waste! Very anxiously awaiting Friday,, due date for my kGo!
