I just have to say this. It just struck me as totally wrong and unneccessary. Your comment is a rude way to put it and help a fellow vaporer. It is also a good way to discourage a new user! How about a little encouragement instead of discouragement!

hmmm I'm not so sure its a connection issue with the prodigy if the attys are also not working on your SD...I wish I could help you with your present atomizers and I would definitely say it sounds like a connection issue except for the fact its happening on two different mods... And an atty that doesn't heat up at all, isn't a good thing...

It's worth a try though....My trouble shooting checklist> As someone said... screw the atty on "just" until it's tight then stop...
Also, screw the adapter on until its just snug then unscrew it just a touch..
Another thing I'd check is the battery end piece... Unscrew it and make sure the spring is lined up directly in the center of the metal on the end of the battery...
Also take the atty off and find something to clean down inside the grove of the adapter ( if this has liquid in it, it wont work) as well as making sure the battery end of your atty/threads are very clean ( use alcohol/qtip)..
Throw all your batteries on their chargers and double check to make sure they are fully charged... Make sure you completely blow your atty out at least once a day and reprime...

When you do get a new atty...Try keeping your draws at or under 5 seconds on the 801 / 2-3 sec on a 901.Two vapes back to back then let it cool.. Just to see if this was the problem (overheated/burnt attys)... Dont let it get too hot or too dry... High voltage vaping takes practice...But, once you master it..WOW lol

> I forgot to add...If you have cleaned your attys..They will need more drops of eliquid then the norm to reprime...Go slow, drip- vape-drip vape-drip vape etc...

Well, I wanted to say "Throw all your stuff out and start over", but I thought maybe he just flooded the attys.

After hearing all of the input and testimony, it sounds like defective parts, kind of what I first thought if he wasn't flooding them.

4 defective atty's is totally whacked though, get a refund, and start over.

Folks. listen to this. I am convinced the problem is still a new user to the Prodigy learning how to vape at higher voltage. Trust me, I know how easy it can be to burn out attys at high voltage.

chef, that's possible but there have also been issues with the setting of the connector (too high & too low) in the PD adapter. After trying to adjust it myself, I simply demanded a new one and have had no problems since then. And if he is heating the atomizer too much which should not be possible, IMO, then Steve needs to explain what if any limitations there are in the use of the Prodigy in the documentation that comes with the unit. The "so-called" user manual was useless as well as the print being so small you couldnt' read it.

wv2win, I thought that was only an issue with using the BE112 attys from bestcig?

I'm truly sorry you're having this problem. It very well may be a mechanical problem and it also just might be user error.

When I first got my Screwdriver I insisted on dripping even through Trog insisted I shouldn't. But I wanted to do it my way. I was blowing atty after atty after atty. I think I went through 4 or 5. Then I decided maybe, just maybe I should follow directions and do as Trog suggested. Didn't blow any atty's after that. I also had to learn how to use a mod. It really is different.

For me one of the most important thing is to not overheat the atty. Razor gave great suggestions on this. On the 901, which I have, I take 2 to 4 second draws, usually only two back to back and I ALWAYS stay aware of how hot my atty is. Another thing that was suggested in another thread, and I don't know how important this is, but I follow it, is not to drip on a hot atty. Again, I have no idea if this makes a difference but I try and follow that advice as well.

I've been there where you are now and I swore it wasn't me, but it was.

At this point I am convinced that the problem was indeed caused by dripping on a hot atty. As to whether this is a case of "user error" or of needing more "experience" before trying the Prodigy, I've got to agree with wv2win--especially since I'd already watched Steve's "ECigarette Dripping 101" video on Youtube before attempting to drip.

Nowhere did he mention the perils of dripping on a hot atomizer, nor was there any warning on his website or in the instructions that came with the unit. Simply adding a one-sentence warning could have saved me a lot of trouble and provided me with the necessary no-how to handle such a challenging and sophisticated device.

In any case, thank you all. I guess a couple more days of tobacco won't kill me, but RazorNribbonz, if you can direct me to Dave from rockymoutainvapor, I would greatly appreciate finding out if he'd be willing to overnight to New York City.
