Just bought a Prodigy V1. It seemed like the cartridge was too far from the heating element to get the kind of vapor production shown in the videos, so I started dripping. In quick succession--about an hour or two--four atomizers (my only 4) stopped working. The heating elements no longer heat. I tried cleaning, changing batteries, blowing out the excess liquid, and even sucking out the excess liquid with a vacuum cleaner and some duct tape. The atomizers remain cold--both with the Prodigy and with my old Classic SD. One of the atomizers (the one that came with my V1) was only a day old. The others had been used only a few weeks (with frequent switching). Can anyone diagnose the problem and suggest a solution? Please help. I'm without the means to vape right now and will soon have to purchase cigarettes. |

Answered this question in the other post. I am guessing user error as it is unusul to burn out four attys in an hour.

I don't have a mod, so I'm not going to comment on it. As far as the atomizers go, the most accurate way to check them is with a meter. Before discarding them, check them to see if the coils are burnt out. You may have other problems.

| Flooded attys?? Blow out and drain atty's and retry. Most likely problem, IDK.

Use a multimeter to check for continuity on the atomizers. ------------------------------------ old thread: How to see if your atomizer is truly dead with a Voltmeter |

You are not the only one who has had atomizer issues with the PD. If you are within the 14 day (I think) window on the warranty, puresmoker should send you a new atty. When you screw an atty on the PD, as soon as it seems just a little snug, STOP. I would contact puresmoker. I do not think it is user error. The alignment of the adapter could also be off which could be breaking the solder connections in the atty.

'User error" is a rather broad and inutile characterization of the problem. Also, as I made clear in my post, I've drained, blown, and sucked for all I'm worth and it hasn't helped.

I would have to guess the center contact on the atomizers are getting pushed in to far to make contact with the one on the adapter. Get a paperclip and stick it in the hole on the battery side of the atomizer and pull the center contact out just a tad. It's surrounded by a piece of rubber tubbing and can be moved in or out. Don't go to far. Just a 1/16" or less. Just enough so it touches the one on the adapter. See if that works.
