I cant thank everyone enough for all of the help and advice. I spoke to v2 today so that everyone knows not that any of you will ever purchase one but there warranty is not lifetime bye any means. However it does cover normal wear and tear from regular use. The catch is as stated bye ambition you need to have made an order within the past 90 days and can only get 5 replacements. It only covers electronic products so if my charger fails and need replacement it will count as 1. Not to say I am going with v2. JTPJC thanks for the pic I thought the 510 was the larger unit not the 808 that may change things further for me. The pic on v2's site makes there mini look almost the exact size of an analog. Also Deach I saw that you wrote in another post about an ecig you picked up at walmrt how has that turned out for you?

Maybe I should have stated this earlier but I am going for the analog look because I plan on using it at work and socially out with friends family etc. I need both hands and go up on a ladder almost daily so I'm used to having a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. Plus I do not want to look like I am smooking a ......... pipe or rocket stick on the job. Also I do plan on getting a bigger unit I actually put a post up about it I would prefer a cigar look if they make them but my first goal is to get off analog's and I feel this would be the easiest transition for me. I figure with the money I will save there should be no problem buying a better unit for home use.

Base on this then you'll need an automatic battery (no need to push button to activate it - just inhale) and probably a drip tip (rubber one preferably) for comfort biting.

Other than that, just get whatever strike your fancy and stop smoking analog! Good luck!

I started with V2 ecigs back in January of this year and have been very happy with the cs, products, etc. I am just a newbie but am learning alot in all the forums. Check the reviews out on the popular ecigs. Take your time and don't jump in too fast!! Compare prices. People on these forums are willing to help you make good choices. Alot of them have "been there done that"!! Ask different people the questions you have about things you don't know. They will help you. They are some of best guys and gals around!! Make a friend or two along the way and have fun!! Good Luck!! ^..^

The Mistic is working out fine. I'd try it. If you're totally new to vaping you'll get a good feel for it from that. I honestly don't know how some of the other companies that have proprietary threading are gonna make it after these. I've heard and read that 808 carto's fit on it with some gap. I am going to order a 901-808 adaptor and see how that works on it. If nothing else for 27 bucks you get 2 batteries, charger, ac adaptor for the charger and 3 carto's (yes they're refillable).

Good luck this can be a long road. I think it's worth it though.

I totally understand the ladder thing. If it's not ladders it's what my avitar pic shows. Had I started with something bigger than a "analog look a like" I'd still be smoking. I do understand while at home or on break the bigger device would be nice.

Or am I wrong, or is there something I dont know about the warranty? I feel like switching is #1 priorit with the $ I will be saving I wont mind upgrading later on if I am not fullfilled. Not saying Im not open toother ideas just asking. Sorry for the double post.
A lifetime warranty on a cigarette-look-alike is nothing but a marketing gimmick. I'll make a friendly wager with you right now. Within a few months, you won't care about it looking like a cigarette. You won't care about a LED at the tip. You won't care about a manual battery and you almost certainly won't care that your e-juice tries to imitate the cigarettes you used to smoke. Given all that, what use is a lifetime warranty, unless it's transferable to whoever you decide to give your starter e-cig to?

The important thing is to just start. But if you find it unsatisfying or are having a hard time getting off those last few analogs, just remember. Nearly all of us started with the exact same laundry-list as you outlined. Nearly all of us abandoned it fairly soon. I'd be surprised if V2 EVER had a warranty return after the first year because 99.9% of their customers had moved on to a proper PV by then..

That said, if you simply MUST have a look-alike, there are better ones out there. I'd recommend a 510 based Joye or Joye clone. You will have much more flexibility in terms of cheap, readily available cartos and attys with it and you can try a manual battery when you get sick of the shorts and false triggering that a lot of automatics have.

I am going to make one recommendation, and only one:

Don't get one that looks exactly like a cigarette (i.e. white battery, orangish-beige atomizer/cartridge or cartomizer, red tip). Get one that has a blue LED tip or another color, and one which doesn't have standard cigarette coloring to it.

In the first week of experimentation, I used one which was cigarette-identical in design, and not only was I constantly accosted by people asking me for a cigarette or a lighter, but I had people nagging me incessantly to not smoke around them because they had to breathe the secondhand smoke, and they didn't care that it wasn't actually smoke.

If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, the rationale goes, it's a duck. You'll get more flack for a cigarette-sized mini that looks like a cigarette than you will for something that's, say, black with a blue tip. Or white with a green tip. Etc, etc.

I could make other recommendations based on experience, but I've come to learn that people need to do their own trial and error. The fact that my own Joye 510 kit is sitting here gathering dust when I'm using my ego/Riva isn't important, either. You need to play around with what will work for you, and I respect that... and there ARE people who are more comfortable with a cigarette-sized model.

But if you want to avoid people who smell like cigarette walking up to you all the time and asking for cigarettes... go with something subtly different. That's all I'm sayin'.

There are cigar-look ones out there. I can't, off the top of my head, remember which sites I saw them on, but they do in fact exist. Just keep looking, you'll find 'em.
