Lol I am using a bobby pin, a zip tie(seems to work best towards pushing the cotton down), needle nose pliers, and scissors to cut the cotton

Ha! It looked like something way scarier and more "toolish" than a bobbie pin! I might try it to extend the life of some of my cartos.

I totally reccomend it be careful though cuz the reason I can use such a small amount of cotton is cuz the atty is on the bottom and not in the middle of the cartomizer. If its on the bottom, your golden I ended up taking my old burned cartomizers and making them work like new again

How'd you get the cotton out without shredding the wire that runs up thru it?

I slipped the bobby pin between the cartomizer shell and the cotton. I then dragged it around the cartomizer to help it slide. Then I hit it against the table (no joke) and usually have something like a paper towel to absorb the shock. The cotton will rise near the top. Dont grab the whole thing with the pliers, but grab the cotton on the side. and you should be able to pull the cotton out. Also know the atty is on the bottom and not in the middle of the cartomizer.

That little sleeve you removed is in there to help prevent the filler from burning. It protects the coil.

As I stated above, there is already protection around the atomizer in the cartomizer, the long tube that remained in there at which I can just throw the other one away. I haven't had trouble with this mod. Being that I cut it so short, the liquid soaks all the way to the bottom and lessens the chance of a burn, just gotta fill more XD
