Thumbs down Ecigarettes and Eliquid BANNED in Denmark

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark

This week it was announced that Ecigarettes and Eliquid are going to be banned until and if they get approved as pharmaceuticals, since they deliver nicotine that is toxic. The ban means that danish reatailers can not sell ecigarettes and accesoires until/if they get approved. But people can buy them from other EU countries, but customs may decide to confiscate the shipments until / if they get approved.

I wonder why Nicorette products like the Inhaler got aproved? I have no doubt that the producers of nicorette are behind this ban. And how the heck can Cigarettes be legal then if they like everyone knows "are not safe" but is responsible for the death of 15000 danes every year. Some cancer groups have also raised concern that ecigarettes are going to create new smokers that will switch to ordinary cigarettes.

So Ignorance and red tape is thriving here. Us E-smokers only hope is that the EU will approve Ecigarettes and overrule the danish BAN.

Do you have a source for this info? I don't see how customs can confiscate products that are legal to import!

NO WAY! Personally, i will continue buying from Pillbox. I have not yet seen any official documents that show it is illegal to buy e-cigs from other EU countries. If such a document surfaces, i will have to consider visiting Pillbox in person :-)

yeah really, there is no way they can legally enforce a ban. just make sure to order portable fog making machines. then seperately order flavoured low-concentrate insecticide not meant for consumption to use on your house plants (cough-cough)

    Youre right DC.
Failing that, i guess i will have to grow my own tobacco, and start looking into nic extraction methods!
By the way, i don't see any reason for banning the e-cigs themselves. If they did that, they would also have to ban a lot of other smoking paraphernalia normally used for smoking certain other plant materials......

I sorta understand the band on juice, but you can order an e-cig with no cartridges or juice and use flavoring or 0 nicotine cig cartridges. Someone needs to get a E-cig smoking lawyer and fight this

exactly, they cannot ban the devices themselves just like the cant ban police scanners. they just cant ban a bunch of electronic components put together in a certain way.

also they cannot ban nicotine because because it is used widely as an insecticide. what are they going to do develop a nicotine licensing system? nope. too much paper-work. any government trying to ban these things is calling your bluff and probably acting in the interest of their own profitability.
