808 to 510 adapter work good? Questions about my batt and liquid, and carts/clearos

I used to vape a year ago with V4L products, Love it and their customer service, found ECF read about filling my own carts. I guess over time I got tired of all the mess, filling so often since I vape so much. Then the flavors dont last very long, I mean at first draw it tastes so great, then later it just fades off. Battery life was so short, vapor production was not so great, not getting enough throat hits.

So I quit vaping, back to analogs, until a month ago, i decided I must quit. So I got my old kit out and started messing around with it. was not happy, decided to get a tank from V4L it worked pretty good, but the taste is not really what I expected. Just kinda mutes out after a while.

I love the peach and pomergrante flavor, not fan of tobbacco, coffee, or any others. I do like menthol my mom uses, but never got some for myself for a day. I should do that but for now I want to work on trying to get the best out of my 2 juices. The juices are from V4L. I have purchased some e-liquids from a different vendor, should be here tomorrow or friday.

I am now using V4L OEM EGO's and wow I love those, especially with the mega cartomizers! they last long and tons of vapor production! So I came around searching on google for EGO cartos, found that there are now SO many choices!

I see clearomizers now, I figured they would be better and based on reviews, since they dont have fillers, I hated the taste of fillers, so I bought 2 Vision EGO clearomizer from smoktek, they arrived today. Filled it up, each with my 2 flavors. Let it sit 5-10 mins. That was the horrible experience! they both had burnt taste.

Decided to get on ECF and look around, I see so many postive and negative feedback on clearos. Did a hot water clean to both clearos, dumped water out, attached to the ego, let it dry burn 2-3 times. Filled it back up again with e-liquid. They tasted so good at first draw, then the next draws were all burnt taste. Let them sit a while, tried again, still burnt taste.

So I went back to the mega cartos, they taste so great after vaping some burnt vapes! lol but then after a few draws they just mute out. None of my mega cartos have had burnt taste yet. Maybe its my taste buds are getting used to the flavor after a few draws making them muted flavor?

So now I am looking into buy the viva nova tank, but they all are 510 threading. I am wondering if the 510 to 808 adapter will work good? or am i better off using a 510 EGO with 510 tank/carto/clearo rather than use a adapter?

I am just getting frustrated here not having a clean flavor of my favorite peach and pomergrante flavor. they keep getting muted out.

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention about batteries, i see so many different EGO types. do all EGO tanks/carto/clearo fit on all EGO types? what are the difference of all EGO batteries? I know some are 650, 900, 1000 mah.

Funny you should ask. I just got my 808 to 510 adapter and a Viva Nova 2.5 and am very happy with it. You might find some of the responses in this thread helpful (especially Sailorman's). In my last post on page 2 of this thread I also talk a bit about the performance of my new setup. Hope this helps and good luck.

I just discovered one issue with the adapter. When it is screwed on to the Viva Nova it blocks the airholes somewhat. If you unscrew it enough to unblock the airholes all the way the electrical connection is broken. This is why the pull seemed tight when I first used it. I think I'll try cutting bigger gaps in the top of the adapter to correct this issue.

I read your thread, thanks, I think I'm gonna order a viva nova and phoenix tonight, also I ahve been seeing a lot people are using Tanks rather than clearos. I noticed that in one of the show your stuff pic thread.

I have 2 tanks from V4L and they don't work well on my egos. even on the titans (pencil batteries) they taste ok and not enough vapor and throat hit.

Tried my clearos again tonight, after letting it sit for several hours, it worked! pretty yummy, then after like 5 chain draws, all it tasted was burnt taste. It seems like i have to take 2-3 small draws, let it sit a while to cool down then try again, not good for me I need to chain it!!! I give up on these, tried several things like priming, tip it sideways and prime, prime it upsidedown, nothing works. I went over to my mother, she got a clearo in mail today, poured in her menthol juice, it works perfectly with that juice. But i guess its my juice does not work well with clearos.

Gotvapes.com has some 808 clearomizers. The pheonix bottom coil and flüxomizer top coil. I've tried them both and prefer the pheonix.

Yeah they are sold out though, but I just placed order for viva nova and phoenix with bottom coil for now and adapter as well too. So I will see how that goes, hopefully these work well!

Try the Phoenix from Got Vapes. They sell it in an 808. If you are getting the bottom coil, i suggest the 2.4-2.6ohms. The lower resistance makes up for the fact that it is a bottom coil and a 1.5 ml carto. This helps with the cooler vapor.

The top coils are nice too, but I keep going back to the bottom coil. One reason I like the bottom coil better is, so long as you fill them correctly (upside down), they dont leak a drop. The top coil ones can overwick and that puts too much juice in the ceramic cup, which then leaks into the space between the silicone cup and the drip tip. It can be fixed by rotating the silicone cup.

Got Vapes does sell a 808/510 adapter. I have been thinking of ordering the vivi nova and using the adapter as well, but havent pulled the trigger yet. One reason is because it is sooo big.

I just checked, they have plenty in stock. The website tells you how many are in stock. I suggest the 2.4-2.6 for bottom coil and either for the top coil

OH when you posted, i thought when you said clearomizer, you meant stardust, those are out of stock, sorry for the mistake, theres plenty phoneix. mine is bottom coil hopefully to get it tuesday.

WIll have to post pictures of what they look like.
