    Default Please, no swirly's.

Meets and Greets are always fun so let's get this party started the right way, like a true VA meeting. Hi, my name's Will, and I'm a vape-a-holic. There, I feel so much better.

Ok no I don't. On top of being a vaping junkie I'm also a tinker junkie, builder junkie, and... wait for it... modding junkie. Yes, I found a youtube clip several days ago that has my mind reeling with possibilities and designs, variable power outputs and mA... you get the idea. Now I know that MadVapes has a lot of bits and pieces, but what I'm looking for can't be found there... or anywhere really for that matter. I'm an Ego fan and a couple of their designs have a very small battery level indicator towards the bottom. Now not only can I not find that but I'm really hoping I don't have to build one from scratch. Does anyone know how and where to find this little rinky dink thing and if it can be used with the LM3914 or if there's something smaller that can be used. If this is also to soon to ask just lemme know, I'm just itching to get started. And yes I did look around on the forums, but I may have missed any post regarding this.

    ~Will

Here's a couple links that may help. These folks get most of their parts online or at Radioshack. Once you have enough posts you can ask in the Modder's Forum (Modding Forum)

Thanks for those two guides, really informative and helpful with wiring and such. I'll wait to post to the modding forum, like I said I just couldn't wait to get going.

Thanks Nancy. And hey, which part of Mo are you from? I have family who live in St. Lois/St. Clair area.

Yeah the Dear Gummy thing is really amusing. Just out of curiosity, does anyone use a digital VV mod, with the push buttons instead of a wheel or switch? How accurate is it in comparison? I ask cause I was considering getting the Lava II and noticed it used a digital circuit instead of the switch like some of the box mods do.

Best place to read up and say hello is under the Modding Forum

If it's been tried, or is possible in any way to do, there's schematics and pictures there of "how to"
You now have 5 posts under your belt and are allowed to post there if you like.....

We're always happy to see a new modder with ideas.....
