Wink A New User & Some Tips From My First Puff

    Howdy,

The names Jason and I have been head over heels in my research on E-Cigs. Swamped with the typical what it is and what it isn't questions as well as the how to of it all i found myself deeply intrigued.

I myself a smoker since 17 and currently on a habit of 15-20 Real Cigarettes per day at about 6.00 Per pack. It got expensive but more than the cost it became the stake in my heart when it came to social relationships. I didn't realize it but I smelled , My fingers smelled and it stuck with me ... Being able to be tagged as a smoker even without them being seen does take its toll after a bit. Especially when that gorgeous doll across the room shy's away from you simply because of that. What can I say I'm Young , I'm in my prime and well you know the rest .. Woman do matter

Anyway ... Contacted Jeremy with "The Vapor Shoppe" In Orlando And Less than 6 hours later he had me set up with the Black Dse 901 with the Blue LED , an extra Atomizer just in case my newish ways toasted the first one and some extra juice. My salutes to this gentleman , Not only is he courteous , Fast he also dressed very professionally as well as explained it from head to toe before the purchase was made. He's definately an assett to us orlando area residents that choose to Vape.

But alas the post is getting lengthy and I did want to give some tips as iv'e experienced a few things being so new to the recent trend.

    1. Make sure you tip your cig downward when using ... This will help with a better vapor as well as almost always prevent the not so pleasant taste of the liquid in the case you inhale to hard.

    2. For the first few times keep it topped up ... keep it wet until the unit breaks in (4-5 cigarettes and it felt smooth and flowing). then the normal capillary action takes over and your good to go.

    3. Don't go crazy with it , the atomizer will heat up ... after every 2-3 puffs let is sit about 20-30 seconds to cool down. This would help prevent toasting your cartriges as well as burning up your atomizers.

    4. My girlfriend asked me this one ... "So you can go anywhere now and smoke that, even in no smoking areas" Basicly the simple answer is NO ... although your technically not smoking , the appearance is such. Managment still retains the right to ask you to leave whether your doing anything wrong or not. I wouldn't recogmend grocery stores and other sensitive areas of that nature until the items has FDA's support. Until then Ask before ya Use ... courtesy should be extended both ways.

Some very good tips. Especially #1. I learned first hand when I first started with a 901. Don't lay down on the couch with the LED pointed skyward watching t.v. You WILL get a mouthfull of juice
#4 seems like such common sense/courtesy but I've read a few posters here that will argue otherwise. I'll stick with common sense & "vaping etiquette".

I'd like to see your revised tips after one month.

And while I tend to agree with (3) above, it isn't for the reasons you mention. As far as I can tell the atomizer doesn't really need much cooling down. The issue is more about giving the atomizer time to wick up more juice for the subsequent drags.

You really have to do whatever is necessary to keep that atomizer juiced up.

3a. Don't go crazy with it , the atomizer will heat up ... after every 2-3 puffs let is sit about 20-30 seconds to cool down. This would help prevent toasting your cartriges as well as burning up your atomizers. As well this will give a much better vape when allowing the wick to soak up the juice.

    Revised lol

20-30 seconds is not enough to allow for wicking.
Well, if you have a full cartridge and have only taken 3 drags, then maybe.

But once you get past the full cartridge stage, wicking becomes an issue if you want to keep on taking consecutive drags. I think you need to allow for at least a couple of minutes to get some juice back up in the atomizer at that point.

Or you could use the "Thermometer Method" aka "Windmill Method" to get more juice.
