Default What is up with these fruity flavors?

I have yet to take the plunge, so I'm having a hard time understanding the appeal of such twee flavors as piña colada and strawberry shortcake.

Back when I was a sweet young thing, I was fond of a certain brand of pink ciggies from France that were scented with rose oil. But then I grew up, and have since smoked proper white cigarettes, the way Edward R. Murrow (God rest his soul) taught us.

I'd rather continue twitching and slapping myself repeatedly than accept a kindly offered menthol.

So I'm supposed to get excited about smoking mint chocolate chip because...? Please enlighten me.

It's just different strokes for different folks, if you wanna try something, try it, if you don't, don't. I've found that for me, even though some of the fruity type flavors are good, I still would'nt want to vape them regularly. Tobacco type flavors are my mainstay.

Because tobacco flavors are very hit or miss and fruit tastes like its supposed too. Mostly. That and I think once people put distance between themself and smokes they tend to crave other flavors. I get bored of tasting the same thing all the time. So its nice to change it up and try different things.

Thats only my perspective and other people will feel differently. As differently as all the flavors out there

I never liked the taste of tobacco (when I smoked, I usually have a mint/menthol Hall in my mouth). I vape mostly fruit/drink/tea/desert flavor and they are surprisingly fun and tasty.

    Thanks for the replies, y'all.

I have an ego starter kit picked out, and thanks to bacc.vap, I know I can stick with tobacco flavors.

I'd be more than thrilled to hear about his faves, though.

Here's the list of everything that went through my mind when I read your post, but I couldn't put together an entire cohesive paragraph, to wit:

The thing is, you don't HAVE to understand what appeals to everyone else and it's not our job to convince you of anything.
The short answer is: They are delicious. Have you TRIED a fruity or sweet/dessert flavor? Maybe you'd like it.
"Vaping" isn't smoking so there's lots of room for experimentation. I think your mindset is that it's a cigarette. It's not - it's vapor.
Do you ever chew fruit flavored gum or anything besides plain mint gum? I bet you have. Exactly. We vape those flavors for the same reason.
The whole "it's twee" put-down isn't necessary or welcome, there's just no need for that. You don't have try so hard.
And honestly, what a boring world it would be if we all stuck to one way of doing anything.
There are plenty of tobacco flavors out there so hopefully you'll find something that suits you.
So Lady T., if you enjoy something other than sweet things, then more power to you.

I keep trying the fruit and candy flavors and am always sorry I did. Not my thing either.

    Just my experience here...
I went for the tobacco flavor when I first came off cigs. Loved it. Once my taste buds came back to life from being off the stinkies, I could not stand tobacco. Fruity was the only thing that tasted good.

Point being, you will regain your sense of smell and taste again. Things that you didn't like before may now be very desirable. Fruit flavors was jut that, for me anyway.

Good luck on your search of devices and juice. I do, however, urge you to be open to all types of things here. There is a vast knowledge base. Remember, though, everyone is different. What I may like, you may find repulsive.

Try them out, I thought like you at first. Now I love LOTS of different flavors! I'm sure you will return to say I'm right!

A tobacco flavor got me off cigarettes. All the rest of my flavors (I have about 20 ranging from coffees, to sweet, to Key Lime) have kept me off cigarettes. 'nuff said.

I have broken even, but I've stopped keeping track of spending
