My cat has never been bothered by me smoking and she hasn't been bothered by me vaping, she does love the smell of Totally Wicked Menthol (labeled Mint) maybe it reminds her of cat mint and we know how crazy cats go for that.

I've got 3 cats, a dog and 2 rats.
One of my cats seems really interested in my digi ciggie. She watches the vapor rise as if it's something new. She was never interested when it was smoke. I'm wondering if she's trying to work out why it looks the same but smells different?
I wasn't bothered about my health at all, after smoking for 30 years it was obvious that my health wasn't one of the things that I was interested in! My main reason for switching was cost. I couldn't afford real cigs at the rate I smoked.
Actually I do like smoking and thankfully the digi ciggie is replacing that a lot. The bits it isn't replacing are made up for by the nice experimenting with flavours and techniques of vaping.
On the plus side is that my animals little lungs are not as in danger. I tried to smoke away from my rats because they had no choice to leave the room.
I also used to feed my cats the old style moist food that was probably full of PG, so the miniscule amount that is left in what I breath out is probably not going to do them any harm. Compared to living with two smokers for 8, 9 and 17 years, I'm sure that they are all bloody happy we've switched

I just started using my eCigar -- mostly outside, but it's so much more pleasing inside. My lovely dog is always around me, and her bed is right beside mine where I would like to smoke the eCigar. Damn wish I could know that I'm not doing any harm, so I'm not sure if I should continue inside until more studies come out. Maybe I should just smoke it on the bog?

I have 4 cats and am most concerned about the nicotine. I keep it put away in a drawer, especially since cartridges would seem like a great toy to my babes. But I do worry that maybe I didn't wash all of it off my hands if I got some on me. Does anyone know just how much eliquid would hurt a cat? Should I freak out and rush to the vet if one of them gets a drop? Or if I smell eliquid on my hands and realized I've just pet one of them? Or am I being totally paranoid? These are my kids and I don't want anything I do harm them.

well, 40mg of nicotine is lethal to an adult. If you reckon that an adult weighs 170lbs (no idea what average weight of an adult is), that's .235mg/lb. If cat weighs 10lbs (my fatty is approaching 14lbs *laf*) that'd be 2.35mg of nicotine.
If your liquid is 11mg, that's 11mg per ml. So, .21ml of 11mg ejuice would certainly be fatal to a cat. Considering I used 170lbs as average weight of an adult and 10lbs as weight of cat, that figure is most likely even lower than .21ml.

Love cats, I have 2 myself, and while they hate analogs and instantly disappear from the room if i light one, they have no problems in cuddling while i vape. Many thanks to Dragonfire for bringing this up, i was happy that i could finally pet them while smoking, and totally unaware of this fact. I guess i will keep them at bay from now on =/

i can say this regarding any hydropoic liquid when vaporized it will bond with any water vapor in the air and fall down but it will be a hybrid (h2)CO particle and be treaded like CO and pass thur anyone system the same way.
only inhaled Vapor would be tread like latic Acid i think that whats it is called (what you muscles do when the get execrised) then would be treated as such.
any nic would not be in exaled form unless you french style your vap
