New 510...Horrible Chemical taste

Hi I just got a 510 from cignot.com I was really excited to try it out. Unfortunatley it has a horrible chemical taste. It is extremely powerful and even made my tongue numb. I tried taking several puffs without inhaling hoping this would clear out the crap. I read somewhere on these forums they can put some stuff on the atomizers.

Is there anyway to clean this stuff out? It is really disgusting tasting and it has a bad smell to it also.

Try putting a few drops on the atomizer (if you bought some eliquid), heat it up a bit then unscrew the atomizer and thoroughly blow it out from the battery end. Drops of juice should run out the cartridge hole (of course, wait long enough that you dont burn your lips ) That should take care of the primer taste... if not, repeat if needed. Let us know how it turns out.

I blow mine out from the cartridge end and then stick tissue inside to soak some up. This doesn't cure this but it does expedite the process..

I think it was actually the cartridges that came with it. They were so horrible I don't know how to explain it. I couldn't imagine this being a flavor someone made on purpose. Anyways I pulled the cotton filled out of one and rinsed out the cartridge and driped some juice onto the atomizer and it seems to be clearing up.

UPDATE: Ok it was definately the prefilled carts that had the horrible taste. The closest thing I could compare it to was burning plastic. I'm not sure if this is what its suppose to taste like or if I somehow got a bad batch but after rinsing out a cart and filling with juice from another vendor It is performing quite well.

I also received a small bottle of the Joye juice with my kit and it had the same disgusting taste. Maybe my taste buds just do not agree with this particular flavor.

Did you take out the filler ? Or can you drip juice directly into the cart with no filler ?

My 510 should be here soon, I also ordered empty carts to use with the ECOpure juice I also ordered. Does the empty carts come with filling material ? Or how should I fill them.

Empty cartridges do come with the wicking material, but sometimes the atomizers have a dummy mouthpiece on them which has no cartridge. This protects the atomizer during shipment.

I have never liked the taste of the starter cartridges and replace it with juice I know I like.

I also got a new 501 today. First time ever vaping. OMG it tastes so nasty, just like you said, burning SWEET plastic. It's all I can taste and smell since I vaped almost an hour ago. Is it the nicotine that tastes like that?
