    In the US, the word "mini" is short for miniature. Small. The mini's are the smallest of the e-cigs.

    This is the thread that I made my first post in desperation to find answers for a very bad e-cig purchase....now 15,992 views ..92 posts
    I have an update for the immortal thread..The kiosk where I purchased the smokingeverywhere brand e-cig and got ripped off at our local mall is closed, they are gone gone gone no longer selling their inferior product to the masses..

    Enough said....

    Well, I guess I can join the ... uhh.. suckers? I first came acquainted with an e-cig last night at .. surprise! ... a mall kiosk. Ended up buying one for $150. The SE Gold. They actually let me try it at the all and it seemed like it could work well in helping me cut down and/or stop smoking completely. I haven't opened it or tried it, and, of course, my receipt is stamped "No Refunds". It seems like there are mixed reviews on here (but mostly negative). Fortunately, I bought this with a gift card mostly, except they got me for a couple extra boxes of cartridges and a case.

    IF this can help me cut down on smoking (the general idea of it) then I won't be too upset since i did use a gift card. I was a little irritated that you can buy these SE Gold starter kits on Amazon for like $60 but, hindsight is 20-20.

    I won't hesitate to exchange things that dont work so I just have to wait and see, I guess, BUT, if this DOES work, I don't mind buying a better one from a different company to accomplish the same goals. Like another poster said, if all SE does is get me for $150 to switch me to e-cigs, than it will be worth if for my health and pocketbook so I cant fault them for that.

    I'm a little nervous about the SE Gold. - battery length, cartridge lasting, well.. and just not working at all, I guess. My concerns lie more with the "will the e-cig idea do what I want it to - namely decrease my smoking and/or get me off regular cigs completely".

    Thought I'd pop in and say hi. I hope the e-cig idea works for me. However, based on these forums, if the SE Gold even helps a little, I will know not to give up on e-cigs, but to try a different RECOMENDED model instead.

    Now I have to research refilling carts on my own...etc.

    Your SE Gold is actually a good little e-cig. Yes, you paid a bit much for it, but that's past now. Your SE Gold is a model RN4081, and parts are relatively cheap for it. Extra large cartridges are now available for it too.

    If you plan on vaping normally, it's very good. If you are going to vape heavy, and almost constantly, you'll need a heaver type. There is a Forum here on ECF that is dedicated to the RN4081 and its users. The link is in my sig, below, if you want more information and help with your new toy.

    Cheers;

    Thanks for the reply. I smoke 1-1/2 packs a day currently. HOWEVER, I work at a home office and tend to light a cigarette, take a few drags and then set it in the ashtray while Im working. I guess what Im saying is that I smoke that much mainly because Im going through so many cigarettes, not necessarily because I'm that heavy of a smoker. Thanks for the link to the forum, I'm sure I'll be a visitor, especially if "vaping" works for me and gets me off analog (see, I actually do read the posts..Im a quick learner..LOL) . Im hoping that I become a raving fan of e-cigs. I hate the smell of cigs on me and the way that cigarettes control me. The idea of smoking, in general, and the nicotine keeps me smoking. I hate interrupting my day to run to the store to buy more cigs. Anyways, this product (whether the SE is the answer for me or not) seems to get rid of all the things I DON'T like about cigarettes while keeping the things I do. Anyways, off to troll the other forum.

    Reading over these posts and other threads about the rn4081 and SmokingEverywhere (SE), the biggest complaint about this model is that a lot of folks got hugely "ripped off" in the pricing by buying at a kiosk. After almost a couple weeks at this and using parts from the the SE Gold and NJoy NPro models interchangeably, I'm very very happy with it. I bought from online vendors and thus avoided the kiosk double-price. I think that if you can come by the rn4081 by other means, you'll be perfectly satisfied, especially once you get the hang of dripping and stuffing your own carts. I only drip into the carts and do not drip directly on the atty for fear of "drowning" the battery or burning out the atty (as I did after attempting to do this).

    hey guys, new to the forum. i bought the smoking everywhere gold back in april and had nothing but problems with it, it worked fine when i bought but when i got home it typically works for one drag then no more vapor after that. sometimes taking the atomizer out and blowing through it to dry it perhaps seemed to get an extra drag out of it. i got the battery swapped, the atomizer swap, then both swapped simultaneously a few days, and the same issue with the new one. what am i doing wrong here? when i got the new one i used it like 10 times in a row at the mall! and it also is convinced that it's charged. is this the safety feature? do they ever come in sealed boxes or are they always already open?

    Not sure of the question--but yes it should come in a sealed box if you bought a starter kit. Possibly your atomizer is not working properly. You have a warranty from SE, so I would call them to arrange return of the attomizer and battery maybe for a new set. No reason to waste money even if you elect to move to a different product. One note here too--if you drew upon the ecig for too long when there was no or not enough juice in the cartridge you may have blown the attomizer early on and didn't realize it. They seem touchy that way.

    Sometimes convenience comes at a price. I recently traveled and because I had cut down to 0 nic decided not to hassle with TSA and not bring my e-cig. That was a mistake, made it the first week but by the weekend I needed my fix. The only place I knew I could get one was to run to the mall and shell out $150 for a Smoke-51 (which are good little e-cigs). I got my fix, and a new spare, and made it through the rest of the week.
