Took the plunge!

So, after careful consideration and reading extensively here I decided our first model will be the 501, I got the starter kit, 10 ml of RY4 24 mg and a PCC. I have the feeling that I will love this I do have a question though, the carts that come with (I ordered from Rocky Mountain Vapor since they seem to have good reviews here and the price was great...and I am in Seattle so it should be here soon, lol) are pre-loaded with Marlboro in various strengths. Since I read a lot of great stuff about the RY4 I got a 10 ml bottle to give it a whirl, first off, will I find I have to reload those carts fast so I can get rid of the marlboro taste and how long should that 10 ml bottle last for an average pack a day smoker? We are kind of broke right now so I am curious as to when I should reorder...thanks for al lthe info I have gotten here I am sure we will upgrade later to the larger models but we all have to start somewhere, eh?

My first 10 mil bottle lasted a week. But I had empty carts. So I would give it week and a half. If love vaping just like I did. Order more as soon as you can. Cappuccino Is a great flavor also 555. Dont get any fruit yet, till your comfortable vaping and not smoking cigs. Red bull has great throat kick.

I usually consider 7ml about a carton worth, so if you were a pack a day smoker - almost 2 weeks. Try to vape as you would have smoked, not more. One advantage to vaping is you don't have to finish that butt once you lit it. I actually vape less than I would have smoked because of that.

Awesome! I know a lot of talk here is about all the work having to load them up and all...but I am sitting here rolling analogs for 2 people, lol. Fun, oh so fun :P

That is interesting, I found that when I started rolling our own analogs that they were better packed so we tended to smoke a lot of halves, so I don't think I will have to adjust too much. I know when I got my nic fix

You should clean the cart if you are going to put a different flavor in it. The standard method is to remove the plastic cap on the side you suck on. Run hot hot water gently through it then blow it out from the side you removed the cap. Do that again. The soak it in vodka for 5 minutes, then do the hot water rinse and blow again. Let sit overnight to dry or use a hairdryer or something. If its wet and you refill you wont get the full flavor or as much juice in it. I fill mine with about 16-20 drops. I was a 1-2 pack a day smoker i go through 5-7 carts per day of 18mg and use a 24 mg when i'm at work. Not sure how long the bottle will last at that rate. I have a few bottles of juice and rotate flavors so i'm not sure. There is some trial and error when you start off getting the nic levels to what is good for you. Also I would wait to order juice to make sure you actually like the flavor. bottle of juice is gonna last a lot longer than one pack of carts. I googled and it it said between 225-250 drops in a 10ml bottle.

You will not miss rolling not at all....I was rolling for a 5 pack a day habit between the two of us and filling the carts is nothing compared to having to sit and do RYO.

Yeah *sigh* can't WAIT! I just ordered too, hope it gets here by the weekend as we are taking the ferry out to the island and I would like to have a bit of nic with my wine on the ride

The drops per bottle will differ with the size of the bottle and the top attached to the bottle. Te 3-4 mil sample bottles take 2 drops to equal 1 drop from my 30 mil bottle. But thats just my experience. I drip all the time and can feel the status of my atty by the draw and gurgle. or what ever is going on in there. Experience is the Key. Just dont smoke. don't run out of juice. You obviously want to quit or you would not be here.
