    Default How many posts for new(ish) users?

    I have been on e-cigareette forum for a while but have not done much posting until now. How many posts are new uesr required to post before they let me post threads in the non new users section?

    15 posts are required. There is also a rule against posting jibberish, or so called one liners to up the post count.

    This is done to aid ECF in combating spam. Most spammers won't take the time to accumulate 15 posts, and spam bots can't.

    There are a lot of one liners in this Forum, but some are obviously an attempt to up the post count. Nothing here is done by one person. There is a full crew of moderators that discuss every questionable post before a decision is made. Don't worry, you're good.

    I'm questioning your avatar right now. There's no e-cig in your mouth.

    Thanks jd, yeah I read the FAQ about them requiring users to accumulate posts to stop spam, but I never saw an actual number, so thanks for the info.
