First time, need some suggestions?
Hello all!
I went to the mall the other day with one of my friends, and we saw a kiosk that was selling electronic cigarettes. This was the first time I had ever seen one, so we stopped to look and both my friend and I were really amazed! I wanted to get one, but I've never been much of an impulse shopper and the price they were charging was $100! I think it was called Quantum or something, but I knew that if I looked online, I'd find better ones for a better price.
I've been reading the forums here a little bit, but I still don't really know much. I would like to get my first e-cigarette, because I think it could help wean me off cigarettes, and plus, it looks cool!
I would like to get one that looks kind of like the Puresmoker one, would that be the best one for that style? Like one that isn't huge, and has different colored LEDs. I looked at the Screwdriver, and that thing is HUGE, I could not carry that around and toke on it.
Also, what accessories should I get and how long as I expect this product to last? Thanks guys, any tips would be appreciated! And just for your record, the design I like best right now is the Mini pocket one with pink LED from Puresmoker, but then again, I haven't looked at many other sites with similar type e-cigs.

Welcome to the forums, Kii. TBH, my recommendation for any first timer is CaSH's penstyle at PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For ECigs, Parts, & Accessories!. It's a great starter e-cig with a balance between size and usability. The minis like the DSE901b are okay too.
Really, it depends on what your smoking habits are like. If you're a heavy smoker, Trog's Screwdriver is a godsend. However, if you're a light smoker, the 901 or even the super minis will do you just fine. Good luck!

The Mini "901" you saw is fine to start.I personally like the Classic Pen, but it is much larger.
The Mall ones are normally the same generic ones with someones name on the box.
$100 is alot for 95% of the E-cig sets on the market.
When you order, an extra atomizer and some liquid would be a good idea, at the least.
The parts do wear out, and when it breaks, your with out till you can reorder.
The juice is for refilling/topping off your cartridges.
Good luck with your new toys, and Welcome

Thanks a lot for your suggestions guys! Which one is CaSH's penstyle? I consider myself a light smoker, on average around 4-6 cigarettes a day, but definitely more when consuming alcohol. You know how that goes.
Are these the only good Penstyle brands?

Err, also, are cartridges and cores the same thing? Do I need inhalers? Whats this liquid stuff? Do I put it on the cartidge or inject it somewhere? Does it have to be special liquid?
-
Sounds like you need to look around a bit.
Helpful links and videos for a new user.
Cartridges are the full liquid container
core is a filler for holding the liquid inside the cartridge
inhaler is what the E-cig is
the liquid is what makes it smoke
you can inject it or drip it to top off or refill your carts, you never want it to get dry, its bad for the atomizers.
It has to be E-smoke liquid, but goes by different names and sellers, and powers, and flavors.
4-6 smokes a day is nothing, so any would fill that need. the pen is my favorite. its big, but has longer useage time, that you dont need.
the 901 is a good middle e-cig, good all the way around, shorter useage time, but smaller.
the tiny minis, most people are disapointed with after a while, but if you are a real low useer, that MAY be a choice. they are not for heavy users.
Liquid i would say stick with the lower nic levels too for you, 16/18/11 or less.

I don't want to spend over $100, have a really big e-cig, and I would prefer ones with color LED choices. Are the ones from Puresmoker not very long lasting as you say? Is the mini e-cig a bad buy? If I buy one, I want to have a decent one that will work for a good while, and not something I get bored of or toss aside because it fails.
I almost ordered the mini e-cig last night, but I want to make sure I am getting the best for my money.. which is less than $100.

The Mini is the 901 (At PureSmoker), one of peoples all time favorites.
It has a few color choices. It is also under $100. You wont get board im sure, and the 901 type is a real good medium E-cig.
An extra atomizer and some juice is always suggested, but not absolutly nessesary. They will wear out in time, normaly 2-4 weeks, depending an useage.
Batteries do wear out as well but take a lot longer then the atomizers.
The Pen Style there is larger, you may want one of those too one day. If you are a real light user it may be more then you need, but you can not go wrong with one of those eather.

Hi Kii
My own experience with the dse901 is as follows.
When i bought my dse901, I bought a spare atomizer. I smoked 2.3ML (23 cigs) a day using it after just over 2 weeks one battery died so I build it into a USB battery. After smoking 90ml (900 cigs) my atomiser makes as much smoke as the new one which I did take out to compare once in a while. My liquid is now finished so waiting for more but after 90ml I still got my 2 atomisers working pefect the one I used 99.9% of the time the other just to compare and then put away. And 1 battery is still taking a fair amount of charge but not lasting as great when new. So if you have my luck a dse901 atomizer will last you 4 -5 months and the batteries about 2 months if you smoking equivalent to 6 a day. Ofcourse the unexpected always happens so keep spares of both.
