help my des901 is on fire.........almost
hi all,
i got my black 901 yesterday to add to my growing collection and left the battery on charge for 8 hours. started to smoke it and was pleased with the amount of vapour and throat hit etc but after maybe 3 puffs i noticed that i was having to suck harder and harder to be able to get the led to light up and draw vapour. sometimes it doesnt matter how hard i suck it simply chooses if and when it will light up and trigger the atomiser! i carried on, thinking that maybe it needs time to break in but it has still not improved. i disconnected the battery and sucked the end and again it would only light up when it felt like it..........so im guessing the battery is probably the fault.
anyway, by now the second battery has fully charged so i thought things would improve. i connected the battery to the atomiser and straight away it started to feel hot, then very hot........then finger burning hot! i hadnt even taken a puff yet! i took off the cartridge (whilst wearing asbestos gloves! lol) so i could look at the atomiser. the thing was glowing brighter, and hotter than the sun! then came a nasty electrical burning smell so i quickly disconnected the battery. i tried sucking on this battery and no led lights up whatsoever. i reconnected and again straight away the atomiser starts glowing straight away and becoming red hot.
not happy
i got it off ebay and have emailed the guy, so i will just have to wait and see what he says. even though the guy had a different user name im pretty certain that it is actually pillbox38. im saying that because the adverts are identical, they live in the same town plus the guy was also advertising totally wicked e liquid.

make sure you return it get hold of the seller asap and return it as most sellers write in the small print they offer 7 days to inform them of any defects
Pathetic I know but we are slaves to them until the product is readily available and from long extablished companies.

igetcha - I had this exact same issue with one of my dse901's. It turns out that the atomizer was bad and eded up frying 3 of my batteries which in turn killed 2 more of my atomizers!!! Put the atomizer and both batteries you were using aside for return to the seller. DO NOT try the atomizer on other batts or the batts on other atomizers if you have more. They WILL kill the rest of your supplies and you'll be left with nothing. Trust me on this one as I managed within 2 hours of getting mine to kill 3 atomzers and 3 batteries.

Then those shorted batteries will fire up and burn out every single atomizer you put them on. It's vicious cycle. You'd think after 2 I'd have enough sense to stop but noooooo...I just kept on goin til I'd killed the last ones too!...I've now been forbidden by Cash to try a nonworking piece of equipment on more than one known good piece...hehe.

The suction switch in the battery is just a tiny piece of metal held on by melted plastic - If it get to hot it wil fall of and poof - You have no more power

I feel your pain. It has happened to both my girlfriend and myself a couple times. I would get a hold of the seller any way you can.. hopefully you get a response, and everything works out.

One of the batteries i got from steve did that off the bat and the led didn't work. Believe it or not but now if my atomizers need cleaning i use that battery until i see smoke and after that they work real good.

I just had a battery that the switch went bad. It is not new...but it made my atomizer turn red! It was good that I was about to drip and darn if the battery hadn't stopped and it heated the atomizer to a glowing red! The thing is okay it is old but it almost killed my atomizer
