    Default Advice required please

Hello all - first post on here so hello, and apologies if this is not in the correct section.

I ordered a miniciggy starter kit from java for my mother, and she has tried to use it today unsuccessfully.

It just doesn't seem to be working in the way that I have seen in the video clips...

I am wondering if there is something we are doing wrong - we have removed the cartridge from it's sealed cap, inserted it, and from the booklet it seems it should be ready to go? We charged the battery component up for 8 hours last night as instructed...

My mum is trying to inhale, and nothing at all is happening..

I put the battery component back into the charger to see what happened, and it flashed 10 times, but the charger light was still green.

    Can anyone offer any tips?

It is just that my mum is really deflated - she so hoped that this would be the end to her smoking tobacco, and she had really psyched herself up for it - feel really disappointed for her -

Any advice would be very welcome - not sure what to do next

    Best wishes Tab

Sounds like shes got a dud. Return it for a replacement and be sure to pick up plenty of spares such as an atomiser

Yeah, that is what it sounds like. I am really sorry to hear that...

I hope everything works out for your mom. Tell her not to be discouraged, I received a dud on my first shot at it as well.. I ordered a different unit and have successfully gone many months with only vaping, and zero regular cigs.

    Good luck man!

Thanks very much for your replies - is just our luck to get a dud!!! She did get a bit stressed and lit up a cigarette instead!

I will contact the supplier and she can have another attempt -hopefully this hasn't put her off!

    Cheers

i would order another atomizer from them an have them ship it with your replacement. its always a good idea to have a few spare parts incase something like what happened to your mom happens.

Definitely a dud then, replied to you on DS as well BTW. Looks like might be a dud battery to me but could be the atomiser. Anyway just get the lot replaced. I would be tempted to ask for a free extra back up battery as comp.
Did this just come with one battery. Frankly that is usless as you will not be able to use the thing all the time in any event. They take hours to charge and do not last all day like a phone. You need two at very least. Batteries and atomisers have a limited life anyway so standbys are neccessary.

    Hope luck improves.

Hi Tab, welcome to the forum.

It's a pity that your mum isn't having any luck with her ecig, they really can work well. Hopefully she won't be put off and stop trying.

It sounds like the battery is fully charged, if the atomiser gets hot at all when a draw is taken then it is working. You might have dry cartridges or the one in current use is no good so try another or squeeze some juice from the filler of one straight into the atomiser (wash your hands after this).

Esmoking requires different technique from smoking. To activate the battery you may need to take a harder draw. Long and slow is usually best and just hard enough to make the battery light operate.

As the others have said, you may have a dud. I hope you get it working, let us know how it goes.

you said mini - if it s a mini and not a super-mini one trick you can try is to suck on the battery and see if the tip lights up. I had a battery that did not light up as the auto switch was a little stiff. a couple of good sucks on just the battery got it working.
