well my girlfriend and I as well as couple of our friends want to get into this e-smoking thing and away from all the tobacco stuff as its not good for you and its getting damn expensive putting away money for those sticks. I did a bit of research and it seems that the dse901 is the way to go for all of us. But I have a couple of questions, firstly where is the cheapest place I can get the 901 in the states? and how much liquid or cartridges can you smoke before you have to replace the atomizer? Also how is the battery life in general? I know battery life depends on use but would I need to charge it every night and keep an extra just in case? Any recommendations to other products or general advice is welcome. I will have other questions soon as my friends and my girlfriend are very interested in this. and also, really friendly community you guys have here!

![]() Being a delicate heating coil, it can go at almost any time, most go 2 weeks to a month, depending on useage and Luck. Rinseing them out if they get real bad with real low vapor out-put, "Can", extend the life a bit. This is why everyone recommends extra atomizers with your first order, or asap. Battery life also depends, on useage, yea, but again, a little luck. They do last alot longer then the atomizers most times. The more they are recharged, the lower the life span. A good bet would be at least a Month per with heavy/normal use. Bigger E-cigs are normally better, unless your a real light user. The 901, 801, pipe, and cigar are best for use time. Check the Suppliers link above, any of the US suppliers are good. Their prices are all pretty close to each other. Good luck with your new Hobby (it becomes one after your hooked)

the life span of these things can be measured its just that know one wants to.. atomizers wear out.. batteries wear out... i know how quickly we wear them out but aint goinna say.. just bear in mind people that sell them kinda look on the bright side for obvious reasons.. if u really are a broke ass student and vaguely resemble a heavy smoker they will cost i u more than u think they will.. a young healthy broke ass student has a whole lifetime to give up the weed.. it took me forty odd years.. the joy with e smoking is u can do it when u want to.. for some there is no rush.. trog |

| Product Developer ECF Veteran | No freaking way a 901 atomizer lasts more than a couple hours of heavy use, or maybe 4-5 hours moderate use. All day? For a pack a week smoker maybe. Not for a pack a day smoker.

I use a penstyle and, except for battery life, I am pretty happy with that. Many have had atomizer problems. Me? I kill batteries just by looking at them, while my atomizers live on.... My limited experience with suppliers of these things is that they have really good customer service. A word of advice, though: some cost a little more, but perhaps they offer a longer warranty. Considering how these things fail, you may want to go for that. I started with cheaper and no warranty, but have since decided that a warranty is what I warranted.... I am personally spending more with this than with real cigarettes, but I have gone a bit crazy with juice and devices - and I live in a place where a pack of smokes costs $3. Get yourself some juice with your first purchase, and an extra battery and atomizer, if you can. You normally get two batteries with your kit, but you want to have some spares in case things go wrong and you have to get yourself replacements. Good luck to you and your friends. To begin with, e-moking may be a bit rocky, but do not give up right away. Do not expect this to be like cigarettes, though, because they are not. I still allow myself 2 cigs a day (from 22), but many here have quit entirely. |

What batteries do you use and how many ml do you vape per day (moderate use is around 2ml)? | |

thanks for all the advice guys! I'll be sure to relay all the stuff you guys told me to them. I also had one more question, when I started smoking cigs I noticed that I slowed down athletic wise, and my work capacity went through the floor (I'm an Olympic weightlifter), does e-smoking "slow" you down at all? I was thinking about the penstyle but the bigger size doesn't appeal to us. also are there cheaper generic models out there that are known to be just as good as the 901? And I may be young but according to my pulmonary function test I'm borderline obstructive disease . I'm already down to maximum 3 sticks a day I mostly breathe 2 sticks a day right now. One of my friends has gone cold turkey for a month but still wants in on this, REALLY bad. Thanks again guys for being so helpful!

I would say it will be better for you then now. "Shouldnt" slow you down in anyway. Its Fog juice, flavoring and nicotine, basicly thats it. No tar, or other crud. Your body may need to get used to the lack of smokes, short term you may see something, but it will be nothing. Cheaper "Generic" models, sometimes called "Health" brand, are basicly Crap. If you get one of those, they eather die quick, or just dont work, and will end up costing you more then they are worth. Check out the review videos in here, for a better idea of each. the 801 (Pen) and the 901 (Mini) are the 2 favorites of the Forum for a good smoke. There is also a couple smaller ones, more cigarete like, a 401, and a white one. Smaller can be fine, just the batteries need recharging more, and the carts will need to be refilled more. You mainly need to decide how they are going to be used, once in a while, or when playing cards, or all day when you need to. |

1. You really need to quit inhaling cigarettes. You will see a near-immediate improvement in lung function. And it sounds as if you have a genetic proclivity to COPD. My God, stop smoking! 2. Cheap will not be cheap in the long run. Follow the advice here and get a 901 or quality pen style. Forget the stupid "bling" aspect of e-smoking, unless you're the type who intends to marry a woman solely on the basis of her physical beauty. Very shallow. Find quality and embrace it. In people, in products. 3. A charged battery lasts me about two hours; four if I don't use it quite so often. No e-cig battery I've encountered lasts all day. E-pipe, yes. E-cig, are you kidding? 4. Maintainance is a very big deal. These aren't light 'em and toss 'em devices. Get ready to commit to a new way of getting your fix. 5. Read everything in the alternatives to cigarettes part of this forum, and see if other nicotine methods can supplement e-smoking. Personally, I use them all. |
