Have decided on type, need help with everything else
Ok,
Based on the numerous videos I've watched, and enormous amount of threads I've read I am pretty sure the 510 is the one I'm going to break myself in with. I've been smoking about 12 years, and everytime I quit I start back again because I miss the "smoking" part of it. So, I figure what's the harm in trying???
So--- 510 (that's about all I know, because there is so much lingo associated with e-cigs)
What exactly do I need to get with it? I've read about buying multiple atomizers, still confused about dripping and carts.. etc... and would really like it if someone just said "GO HERE BUY THIS, YOU'LL BE HAPPY"... so.. who's up for that challenge?
I think this is a great thing, can't wait to find out, just need a little help in the matter, as I'm getting a terrible headache trying to sort all this stuff out.
Thanks for your help!!!!

Looks like innovapor . com has a 501 starter kit for $30. I believe that contains every thing you need to start.

Go to the classified section there are usually kits for sale in there cheap.

A couple of extra atomizers and some liquid should get you going with your 510 starter kit. Maybe an extra manual battery too. Don't throw out the cartridges when they are empty, keep them and refill them.

This is where I got my one and only 510 kit:JOYE510
And they have free shipping on orders over 14 dollars. And don't forget to buy a bottle of juice or also known as E-liquid.
E-liquid comes in a variety of nicotine levels. The most common levels are:
0 mg = no nicotine
11mg = low nicotine
18mg= medium nicotine
24 - 36mg = High
All websites are different..some will post 11mg as medium.
It would be best to calculate the mg nicotine levels to how you smoke cigarettes now. I used to smoke light cigarettes so the 11mg works for me. But somebody else who smoked high Marlboro reds or unfiltered cigarettes could find 24mg more to their liking.
The standard 510 kit comes with 5 prefilled carts to use and mine came with 18mg Marlboro carts. You can try these out and use them to adjust your nicotine levels. If you feel bad after trying them out for awhile then maybe you should go lower on the nicotine. But if you feel like you still need a real analog cigarette after vaping then you should try higher nicotine juice. Maybe 18 mg will be good all around and you won't have to make any adjustments.
Get a small bottle of juice with what you might think the right mg level is for you. That way you can try out a flavor and not get stuck with a big bottle if you don't like that particular flavor. I like RY4 and it is my own reccommendation.
Hope this helps

alright, I got u! first off, dripping and carts: "dripping" you need some liquid you basically drop 2-3 drops directly on your atomizer, and use a blank (no filler) cart to vape with, probally the best way to vape, but doesn't last very long, comparable to a regular cig i guess. For carts, what I use, research Lipton Pyramid Tea Bag mods or PTB, I like the shredded best but the leak and take alot of time to get all the kinks work out, there are several cartridge mods, I would reccommend playing around with several to find what works for you
The point is that the starndard carts that kits come with use a fiber we call poly, or polyfill, it is junk, often gets caught in the atty and burns, (tastes like burnt plastic) horrible!
Next accessories: If your on the go alot a Personal Charging Case IS A MUST (PCC) batts in a 510 only last ab 2 hours, however they do charge in 1, a PCC allows you to charge your batts on the go, and can usually handle ab 6-8 dead to full charges before it dies. also check out USB passthroughs,
I got a car charger as well, and honestly I have never used it.
Longevity: attomizers are said to last ab 2 months, I haven't lost an atty yet but I rotate between 4, definetaly reccomend getting at least one backup,
depending on how much u vape, make sure you get enough liquid to hold you off til you get the hang of it, when u start you will use (waste) alot more juice.
I only got 30mls my first order and it was gone in less than a week!
For my stash I also have 30+ blank carts (a little excessive) but it does come in handy having several carts at my disposal, so I spend very little time a month modding, I really like the whistle tips for a 510, they just fit in your mouth better.
Hope this helps:

This was my problem as well( a 24 year smoker)... until my e-cig purchase.

Great Choice!

I bought a Joye 510 kit at InnoVapor. $100
The Manual 510 Starter Kit includes:
2 Complete Manual 510 Personal Vaporizers - (2 Batteries, 2 Atomizers, 2 Empty Carts for direct dripping)
2 Extra Atomizers - 4 Atomizers Total!
1 Pelican Pocket Case - (holds 2 Complete EVOs, 1 USB Charger, 1 3ml Bottle of ECOpure and 1 extra cart, as shown above) or 1 Personal Charging Case, PCC (instead of Pelican Case, PCC holds 1 battery, 1 atomizer, 2 carts and charges the 510 while on the go)
1 USB Charger
2 3ml bottles of ECOpure
8 Blank ready to be filled cartridges.
I opted for the PCC instead of the pelican case... you will need it! It is fantastic not having to worry about battery dying. I ordered my kit on Thursday and had it in my hands on Monday. Good service.
I think this is a great thing, can't wait to find out, just need a little help in the matter, as I'm getting a terrible headache trying to sort all this stuff out.
It can be confusing at first... but you definately came to the right place for info. Everyone here is great.
Thanks for your help!!!!
You're welcome... Happy Vaping!

Ok - so innovapor doesn't have flavors
So....
Thanks for all the info so far. I think that $125 kit is what I'm going to get, but my only issue is that I reall don't know that I'll like ecopure. Based on what I've read people say get flavors that aren't like tobacco, because the "tobacco" ones really don't taste like a cigarette.
With that said... If I buy a bunch of cartriges (I assume that's what a cart is)... I can go to any place and buy juice, and that juice will work with my e-cig? Pardon me if I sound a bit elementary, I'm just trying to understand everything before placing my order.
Are carts like pre-filled syringes that are already loaded, but they don't pack the "punch" of dripping? That's what I'm getting out of what people are saying, please correct me if I'm wrong. So, do people use both? What's a good "flavor" to try?
Great info so far, I think I'll be placing my order today. Just wanting to make sure I know everything I need to know!!!!
Thanks again!

I personally love ecopure... it's what I started vaping with and is still my goto juice. Not real tobacco tasting... it has a very slight roasted marshmallow flavor.
There are prefilled carts and empty carts. There is a filler inside the cart that soaks in the juice. I have never tried a pre-filled but from what I read here they are not that good. I fill my own carts with the internet bought juice!
I use the carts that have no filler for direct dripping on the atomizer... yummy!
-
Yes, you can use juice bought from anywhere no matter where you buy your 510 from.
IMO, the 901 carts work better in the 510 than the 510 carts do. There is no making sure it is lined up with the bridge in the atty so you don't have to worry about melting plastic. Make sure you get manual batteries, they are sealed and you can't flood them and thus gunk up the auto switch. Get a couple of extra attys, and at least one extra battery to start with.
Oh yeah, Welcome to ECF and happy vaping!
