    Default New M401

Well, I just received a new M401 (deluxe kit w/ 3 batts & 2 atomizers, essentially 2 cigs) from litecigusa. Thanks! Cashed in on the November free bottle deal as well--though I'm not certain what I got (says LCZ:MED and I definitely like it).

Waiting for the batteries to charge thoroughly, but when they do, I'll definitely let you guys know how I like it. I'm really, really surprised at how small and light it is... smaller even than my NPRO!

Well, kudos to Shawn, and I'll update this thread when I get a chance to try it more thoroughly.

It's cool, thanks for letting me know. I like it--the harshest smoke-like flavor I've found so far. I'm thinking of cutting it with camel once I have a spare bottle. Still on a quest to recreate my beloved lucky strikes.

Well, I opened up the boxes and started playing with my new M-401s. My fiancee immediately claimed one (only fair, as I had said I was ordering her an e-cig) and we've been vaping on them since the batteries have charged. At first, I was underwhelmed. The atomizers hissed like angry cats when we puffed on them, and we weren't getting much vapor. In addition, a small puff would light up the LED for a few seconds afterward, and I was worried about burning out the atomizer right away. A few hours later, though, once we had better-tasting juice running through the guts, and the atomizers had sort of 'broken in', we were much happier.

Like I said previously, I was really surprised with the size difference between my previous supermini (the NPRO/RN4081) and this unit. I haven't been unhappy with my NPRO, which certainly brings the vapor to the table, but this unit performs quite well too--and it's a looker. The M401, especially the dual-atomizer triple-battery kit, comes highly recommended.

I can also speak to the quality of the Virginia and Orient flavored juices from litecig. Haven't tried the Camel yet, but I'm going to guess it's similar to the Pure Camel that I still need to run down.

    "Tasting notes" on LiteCig e-juices:
Virginia: My fiancee likes this one a lot. I want to say it's an herby, slightly flowery tobacco-like flavor that I'm not as keen on. Fiancee says "toasty marshmallow." I'm getting a wood flavor.

Orient: Strong, dark flavor with lots of spicy notes. I don't know if it's supposed to be, but I think it's a kind of tobacco flavor. A bit of a diesel thing going on, which I think is similar to what I like about actual cigarette smoke. Fiancee says "ramen noodles".

I take back "toasted marshmallow". Virginia is more like clove and cinnamon.

A couple other minor notes on the M401s, which are still performing nicely:
The draw, while fairly easy, is loud--louder than my NPRO. If you don't mind the hiss of incoming air (I don't really), this is fine. On the other hand, these things are throwing off vapor like there's no tomorrow!

Because of the lighter construction, I've noticed that this thing doesn't stay perfectly straight--the mouthpiece often gets crooked from the rest of the device. I'm hoping this isn't the atomizer going askew. It's certainly a more delicate beast than the RN4081. In general, it's a nice-looking e-cig, but I can't help feeling that the construction is a bit cheaper. Already popped off one of the endcaps to adjust an LED (it was pretty wildly off center).

Still happy with my purchase though, considering I got two e-cigs and 3 bottles of juice for the price of my basic NPRO starter kit.

Oh, and a few drops each of Orient and Camel in the cartridge is my favorite flavor so far. I'm definitely going to mix the two 50/50 when I have a spare bottle.

I bought the same kit that you did, and I am having a bit of a love/hate relationship with it. I love the way it looks, and that the battery life is surprisingly good. I hate that whenever I try to top off the carts I get liquid in my mouth. I will smoke it until I get no more vapor, add two drops to the cart, and get liquid in my mouth.

I tried dripping, but I put one drop on the atomizer and half of it runs down the outside of the battery.

One of my batteries has an off center LED as well, I kind of like it though. It makes it seem a little more real. Most analog cigs don't have perfectly uniform cherries. Of course, most analog cigs don't self-extinguish in between drags and then spontaneously re-ignite between drags either.

Over-all I like it, but probably wouldn't buy anything this size again. I like the way they are going with the styling, however. I would like to see that kind of thought put into some new penstyles - Those seem to be a bit stagnant in the style department.

u need to be careful when topping the carts off. i usually just add a small drop or 2 t the cart. it is alot easier with a syringe for these style carts. it took me time to get used to topping them off properly now i dont get any liq in the mouth. just takes a little patience an practice. im sorry about the one led being off center i will replace it if u would like. also burrito if u think the atomizer is crooked shoot me an email an ill send u out a replacement not a problem at all.
