I first found out about e-cigs in some promo magazine. it was highlighting the 'smoking everywhere' people and their kiosks that have been spreading all over the malls. of course i popped onto the net and found this forum site and signed up, bought my first e-cig from janty, and now trying to be a good contributing member of this forum.

My question: Is the traffic on this site consistent or has it increased within the past few months??

btw i think i still have the article somewhere. if anyone wants it, i'll see if i can scan it and post it up here. let me know before i dig through the crazy paperwork in my office.

Definitely increased of course. I think the word is getting out slowly from the earlier e-smokers that belong here to friends and family and stuff and others are just catching on from youtube or other websites like this and the web stores...and possibly from the news and stuff too.

I have not seen the stats but been lurking on "Most users ever online was" on front page for quite some time and traffic is going up. Just a couple weeks ago, record was 100 users and now it is 145. Judging by that, growth is increasingly turning exponential. If people are buying e-cigs for christmas presents, I wouldn't be surprised by 1000 users limit breaking within month or two. Admins might want to prepare for christmas or there might be some serious down time... This cpu quota thing in particular is ridiculous.

That aside, it is getting increasinly difficult and time consuming to keep track on what is going on around here. Newbies ask same questions without looking for existing posts which suggests that this site carries too much information in too dispersed form. Who newbie would find cleaning instructions for Ruyan bling for instance? Heck, I can't find it using the search engine, I need to go through the 40 page thread to find it.

Yes there has been a big increase in the couple of months I've been around. When I joined the active member count was just under 600, last time I looked it was 825. At first online users did not seem to go above 80, now well over 100 users are common. It's not a big amount and I'm worried about the CPU count, I think we need to contribute a few bucks to the board so they can buy some more time

its a catch 22 situation with forums.. 99% of whats said is simply "chatter" the odd bit of useful stuff gets lost amongst the chatter..once off the front page its pretty much lost forever..

but its chatter that brings traffic to forums which is what the owners want.. site hits.. the busier the forum gets the more the chatter.. catch 22..

a modern day tower of babel in essence.. he he
