i have recently noticed that louds noises, ie the bass in my car/at clubs/screaming, make my 401 automatic batteries think that i am vaping! when not connected to the atty it just drains the batteries but when connected to the atty it just gets hotter and hotter and hotter which i am assuming is terrible for it. has this happened to anyone else? and does anyone know a way to prevent it aside from buying all new manual batteries? or is it just a matter of "being quiet" around my e-cig? haha |

That's one of the reasons that most people think manual batteries are superior. You aren't the only one to have this problem. I had some auto 901 batteries a little while ago and I didn't mind them for a week or so, but both of them just started going off while sitting on my desk at work (in a quiet environment). All this does is drain the battery, burn juice, and lower the life of your attys. Not only do manual batteries not do this, but they give you more control over your drags. I'd recommend getting manual batteries for whatever PV you're using ASAP. |

This is a widely known problem with the m401, which is sound sensitive. If you continue to use the automatic batteries, then, yes, you will just have to "be quiet"! Intellicig, manufacturer of the EVO (an m401-based cig) has announced they are working on a new (and mysterious) solution to the issue. Otherwise, manual batts are the way to go. I just got mine in last week, and I am using my EVO more than ever. The sound issue isn't the only advantage to a manual battery. |

I was worried about this myself but so far so good with my 901 batterys. I tested it out in my stereo competition car, 152 decibals and they didn't come on. |
