901?
I dont know. What would you guys say is the best overall, all around type e cig? the 901? I was gonna buy a smoke51, but it doesnt seem like many people tried it here. I was thinking smoke51 has the new v9 product and that maybe its a superior product on the market right now. they say the battery lasts a long time etc. Any recommendations on a good supplier and good model for someone who wants to try and quit smoking using e cigs

The 901 is the gold standard of e-cigs. Every e-smoker has one, or has had one. There are new products out now that may rival it, m401 in particular, but you can hardly ever go wrong with a DSE901.

I used the same 901 for 3 months and the only problem i had was that 1 of the battries died on me ....Still the same automizer and still 1 origanal bat.... A little tip about the battries ..... If your light keeps flashing etc when not conected to anything, then give the screw end a good hard tap on a hard surface as their is a switch in their ...A bit like a realy that controls your car head lights.... Somtimes they get stuck and i have found a good hard tap sometimes works.

paladinx , it would be usefull if we know where in the world you are.
For a 901 in USA PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For ECigs, Parts, & Accessories! is highly regarded here
For a 901 in UK/EU the Electronic Cigarette | Free Yourself... | e-cigs Welcome is also highly regarded

Thanks guys for the advice, I am in the USA, nyc to be exact. What is the m401?
So far from what i gather, there is the penstyles, 901's and like the mini versions.
One thing I have to say, I have not seen anything so far like the smoke51's device. What exactly is it? It doesnt seem to fit any of the product models discussed here. I realize its a v9 loongtotem or whatever. But are there any other companies selling that v9 model?
Im curious about the model because it says the battery is new and lasts long, and the cartridges last 2-3 packs. Plus its the only i got to try at the mall near me, and it seemed cool. looks like a cigarette etc. Smoke felt real.
but at their prices i might try the 901 that has been recommended here. are all 901's the same, or does it really matter which vendor u choose?
Sorry for all the questions and long posts, just trying to make sense of it all. thanks again to everyone who has helped me thru the decision making process.

a video review of the m-401 HERE by some strange fella with a tache
to be honest with you paladinx i havent tried smoke51 or loontotem v9 but if you have never used an e-cig before then definatley go for the 901. it's a great performer and a good price, hold back buying the overpriced stuff for the moment until you decide e-cigs are for you, and you do a bit of research, could save you a small fortune.
DSE-901 are a generic e-cig if it's called a dse-901 it doesnt matter where you get it from it will be the same.
and don't go believing that 1 cart = 1 pack rubbish either , that's just a twisting of the truth to get you to buy it. a 901 cartridge is equal in real terms to around 5 - 7 real cigarettes. I know loong totem are supposed to give more but not 2 - 3 Packs ( 40 - 60 cigarettes )

The M401 is a supermini, about the same size of the smoke51. There are some reviews on here, I'm just not sure how to link to them. BTW, the cartridges WILL NOT LAST 2-3 PACKS!!! EVER!!! Don't listen to them, complete horse...... Ask anyone on here. 4-7 cigarettes more or less for a e-cig that size. Always get bottles of refill e-liquid, extra empty cartridges, and a spare atomizer and perhaps battery with your purchase. If you are comitted to a DSE901, check out www.thesmokelessshop.com, The ultimate DSE901 kit, you get your extras, plus a case and a syringe for adding or extracting liquid from your carts. Check the suppliers list for other sites. I can personally vouch for thesmokelessshop.com, puresmoker.com, and litecigusa.com, they are all wonderful to deal with. Excellent service.
