    Default got it-like it-questions....

ok! just received my 901 kit from the smokeless shop (thank you katy!) and so far so good.
puffing on the thing all evening and the batteries seem to last about two hours with near constant use (i'm so tickled with it i can't put it down) which is about par from what i understand. very glad i have three batteries. i would like to know about charging. from what i've read you should allow ~4 hrs charging -but can you over charge them? they're ok charging over night right?

i've never let my lack of technical knowledge stop me from tinkering so i plan to do some mods. alternate power source etc. been doing a lot of reading on the subject and y'all are inspiring me. i think what i need to know is what is the recommended voltage for best results. it seems to me i've noticed some variation in what people are using. and is a resistor necessary?

i feel like i had some other questions more related to "am i doing this right" but they're escaping me at the moment............yay e-smoking!

you shouldn't be able to overcharge the batts because the charger that comes with the 901 kit is protected. when the light goes green it's charged.
as for leaving them overnight ...personal choice. I wouldn't myself..knowing what the chinese quality control is like it's too risky for me. I've had e-cig chargers go bang , there is no way in hell i'd sleep and charge.

    going by memory here .
901 batttery is nominal at 3.7volts.
fresh of charger they are 4.2v
    need charging at 2.7v
    i think....

Good luck with the tinkering, it's almost as much fun as using e-cig's.

planning to do some sorta simple screwdriver/magnum type mod first- copy what i've seen around here. but i keep thinking of ideas that would just be fun and unnecessarily complicated.

as far as the lights on the chargers go...they seem to be erratic. usb charger mostly stays blue w/ red flicker occasional solid red-wall charger usually just stays green although last time i screwed in a batt it started out red/ flickered a bit/ back to green...i think i read somewhere here that it's best to disregard the charger lights. that said, i did charge a couple over night and so far all three of my batts seem ok.

didn't smoke any cigs today! def gonna need to order more juice- going through it faster than i expected...
