Hello ....will adding water into the e-liquid (50/50) damage the atomizer...reason for doing this to lessen the nicotine desity fom 24mg to 12mg ..as it is too strong for me....

use glycerin to dilute, not water. I have added a drop or two of distilled water to thin it down after mixing, as glycerin is quite thick. It works very well. You don't have your location posted, so not sure if you are in the UK or not. If so, you can buy it at the chemist's or supermarket.

OR use a solution of 80% glycerin and 20 % alcohol. Glycerin itself is rather thick, I found this much nicer.

I've just added 10 ml of glygerine to a 30ml bottle of 36mg nic juice, which reduced the nic content to about 27mg. Ish.

It works great (and produces a lot more vapour ), but the resulting concoction is a lot thicker.

As SuziQ asked - what does Frankie mean by alcohol? A drop or two of vodka??

SuziQ: I mean normal drinking spirit, 40% or so. Tried tequilla, worked nice (3 weeks no damage on the atomizer), but without any added value. Then I found this thread: Absinthe eJuice , which uses 50/50 VG/Absinthe mix and that is absolutely marvellous. I do not drink, actually, but I love the smell. It is sweet and spicey at the same time.

    Why?

I was wondering the same thing as perhaps I should not be vaping on "high".

My understanding is this is largely water, so why not add water to dilute??

You can use a bit of distilled water to dilute but it produces steam and not vapour. You need glycerine or propylene glycol to make 'smoke'.
