    Default Hmmm...question about battery

I have a one-week-old Janty extended Kissbox that came with two batteries. Everything seems to work fine. One of the batteries, however, seems, I dunno the word, touchy I guess. It charges up just fine, but when I first attach it - nothing happens with it at all. Just when I've about giving it up for dead, it springs to life, and lasts all day. Recharge it and go through the same thing again. The other one charges up, goes on once, and immediately springs to life. I've ordered two more batteries, and will continue to use "Flakey" as I've come to call it, until it finally gives up the ghost. Flakey was like this from day one.

Does anybody know WHY this would happen?

Meanwhile, after being a 2+ pack a day smoker, although I'm still smoking the occasional cigarette (generally 2 to 3 a day), cutting back to almost nothing seems painless.

    Default More discoveries on "Flakey"

Well, there was nothing I could do to get the battery to work tonight. I have emailed Janty USA to see if I can exchange it. I thought it had completely died, even though it was fully charged. When I put it back on the charger, the light stayed green.

THEN, I discovered that it works fine on the auto switch, just not the manual switch. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the auto switch, the other battery works fine on it.

By the way, I love this forum, but I'm getting a tad paranoid. Seems a whole lotta folks read my post, but nobody deemed it worthy of a reply. Do I have bad breath or something? Have I made some kind of e-cig faux pas?

stop being paranoid you haven't done anything wrong. You might want to post this question on the janty q&a that's all. It may take some time for you to be viewed by the right people. you are fine.

Sounds like you may have a bad switch, and not a "Flakey" battery

I just got here, so Not sure how long its been here, but answers, in rare cases, take time here, normally everyone is more then ready to help, or give up their latest Opinion

Don't be paranoid, it's not you, it's the nature of the problem. I didn't reply because I didn't have anything constructive to say. Sometimes it takes a while for people with appropriate knowledge to read your question.

I agree with Steele, it sounds like it might be a switch problem or something to do with contacts. Make sure the connections are clean and dry.
