This is an edited version of the email I sent my supplier:

"I got home to find a delivery waiting here yesterday afternoon, I put 2
batteries onto an 8 hour charge straight away. So I got to start playing
with my new toys around 10:30pm.

It took me by suprise, I had expected to be dissapointed as I have been with every other smoking alternative. This wasn't the case at all.

Having smoked analogs all day I was unable to tell much difference between the various flavours, but was very impressed with the throat hit provided by both the Marlboro and Hilton 28mg. I alternated them in seperate carts and also had a few more analogs to compare and double check my impressions.

I had some initial hurdles related to exploring the boundaries of the
product and managed to flood an atomiser in the first 30 minutes but a
quick blow out and it was up and running again.

Today I have had only 2 analogs and prefer the vapour over them, I am still in shock over this as I didn't expect it to happen.

I'm looking at not having any analogs tomorrow at all, which for anyone that knows me is unbelievable.
    "

I just have to say wow, these things are fantastic. Definitely a convert here. It's so nice to "smoke" with less guilt also.

igetcha: Sorry I must have changed my mind on the B&H at the last minute, but they will be on my next order. By then hopefully my sense of taste will have returned a bit and I will be able to give a more valid opinion of their flavour anyway. I did charge every battery for 8 hours initially though

Thanks to the information, videos, members of this forum and my supplier I've been able to make a very easy and informed transition, thank you all.

The e-cig definitely blows away every other alternative by a h-u-g-e margin. I'm absolutely convinced that any smoker out there can successfully switch to vaping if they're at all serious - if not immediately, then gradually.

A lot of people actually planned to keep smoking and wanted the e-cig merely to circumvent no-smoking bans or whatnot, but ended up liking it a lot better and switched without even trying! It's quite miraculous, one of the best inventions ever made.

I'm one of those people. The juice just tastes so much nicer than real cigs and is much lighter. I've quit smoking without really trying. It's great.

Totally agree, I'm still waiting for the catch.

At the moment the only major worry appears to be the uncertainty of future supplies. Given the combined power of the anti-smoking groups, the tobacco companies and the nanny state mentality we're living under, something is bound to come unhinged.

Thanks for the link Kate, I had a brief skim through (Sun is coming up over here) and will revisit it again later today. The indications seems to be that PG inhalation may or may not create issues depending on the pre-disposition of an individual to being just plain unlucky. Knowing that I've already consumed copious amounts of it while smoking analogs alleviates some of that worry, or at least allows me to place those fears in a familiar basket.

The nicotine side of things is something I'm slightly more aware of, but I'll definately have to gain a greater understanding of the known issues before I can make that step into educated ignorance I became familiar with smoking analogs.

At least now the cynic in me can stop sulking about feeling left out.

As you said, it is still a miracle.
