I get kanthal from temco. You can buy directly from them or from ebay. Good prices.

Many vape stores sell kanthal you can also get it on ebay. As far as cotton for wick I'm clueless haven't used it yet, hopefully someone will be along to chime in on that subject.

I think people are just using regular old cotton balls. Walmart, Walgreens, target, etc... Many seem to like cotton thread, one mentioned a lot is peaches and cream brand that is found at walmart or Joann's.

Been using Evod tanks and I see that both Protank and Evod use the same coil heads now. Really, no dry hits at all, the Evod works great and so do the coil heads right out of the blister packs with no tinkering, just screw them in. But it does need to be kept at least a third or more full or it gurgles. Has not leaked yet. Waiting for the Protank 2 to get some reviews, or I may go with another glass brand that also uses these Kanger heads.

For me I have noticed that occasionally with new heads it seems to take a day or so for them to start wicking well. The only conclusion I have come to is that the wicks may be coated with something which limits wicking ability. Seems strange but it has happened several times with new heads.

Kanthal A1 32 ga is just that. Oz. refers to the spool weight/size. The heavier the more wire on spool.

Simpler to pick up a 50 or 100 ft. spool off ebay. No confusion, and 50ft will last for years.
